I have already purchased 7 Day park tickets through the Disney Store for our trip in January. Since we are now DVC members I would now like to upgrade my park tickets to annual passes. Where can I trade in the tickets and still get the member discount?

I believe guest services right outside the gates of MK and Epcot. Trading to annual pass......that means you will traveling to WDW again with in the calendar year??

Thanks. Yes, we are thinking of making another trip in December 07 before the passes expire. If I purchased the annual passes and Disney offers free dining again, I may also take a short trip with my daughters in September.

You can also go to Guest Relations in DTD-Marketplace. It is right in between Team Mickey and Ghiradelli. I did this recently and it took all of 5 minutes.

It's a great discount for the AP.

Wait a second. You are telling me that you are getting sucked into this "free dining" craze?

It is not free, I guarantee you that. First you must pay rack rate for the room, then you must purchase a park ticket. You already have the AP so you'd be spending money needlessly. Also, discounts abound in the month you mention. You could do far better getting a discounted room, not buying tickets and paying for food.

Don't let this marketing scheme trick you. Also don't help the overall decline of dining at WDW by supporting this program. PLEASE.

Better yet, since you have the APs, you can now get the Disney Dining Card which will save you 20% on your meals. APs and the Dining Card are a great combination.

you know, I was thinking about the same thing. I mean, I have 350 points at SS but....with season passes i really find I want to go as much as possible to 'really get my moneys worth'!! LOL I was also thinking that going during that time really lets my kids their fill of the fun of the value resorts-as much as I love my Deluxes the kids (and me!) love the themes of the values!! Also-I will just save the one day ticket I have to buy I can just save to go towards my next annual pass!!! :sunny:

When we go to WDW in October 2007, it will be the first time we'll be using APs. We have our purchase voucher printed as we purchased them on-line via the link on the member's website. Can we exchange our vouchers at this Marketplace location?

Thank you.

I am a new SSR DVC owner but not aware of a Disney Dining Card. How do we get one, and are they good everywhere on Disney property?

Also, what is the DVC discounted AP price and is through the owners website the best way to do this? I have tried to locate this information online before without sucess.

We got AP's, then the DDE then DVC. You can get your AP's at Guest Services in the parks and Downtown Disney. Discount is $100 for DVC members (so $334 + tax). The DDE is $60 a year for AP holders. You call and order on the phone or I believe can order in the Passholder section of the website. If you're traveling in less than 30 days, let them know and they'll send a temp card to Guest Services at Epcot for pick-up.

DDE gives you a 20% discount on meals at pretty much all the restaurants (not counter service). There are a few exceptions like the brewery on the Boardwalk, but they work for all the character meals and dinner shows as well as restaurants.

This past trip, the card paid for itself within the first week for three of us adult travelers. And we have two more trips planned for May and October with bigger groups.

I never found the DDP worth it for us. We tend to eat one sit-down meal a day or every other day, and the rest are snacks. So we save on every trip with the DDE.
