I wondered if anyone knew whether you can use a WDW annual pass at Disneyland?

Nope, the tickets to WDW and DL are not interchangeable. You would have to purchase seperate tix.

Well, you can use old, unused Park Hopper days from WDW to go to DL (the WDW price was higher, so it doesn't work the other way and apparently the new MYW taickets won't work either), but not APs.

OK, that's what I thought, but just wanted to check before I bought our 7 day passes for our next WDW trip.
