Hi all,

I am wondering if the annual pass with DVC discount can be purchased on site? We are nearing our trip and I would rather just buy it on site if possible. We aren't expecting a price increase in the next month, are we?

If it's available on-site, can I purchase at the hotel desk or do I need to go to guest relations in the park or something like that?

Thanks!

DVC discounted APs can be purchased on-site. This can be done at any theme park ticket window and all guest services locations. Resorts do not sell them. Don't expect an increase as they just went up the beginning of Aug.

You will need your blue membership card and government issued photo ids for all adults showing the same address as the member.

Thank you! I remember hearing about a price increase not that long ago so I figured I was good for now.

We purchased ours (with DVC discount) at Epcot's International Gateway this summer.

Also, if you're like us and end up with unused 1 day base tickets...don't forget that you can apply the value of them towards the cost of the DVC AP!

What is the price of the discounted annual pass? Adult and kids? Are they different?

I think you can get them at DTD too (if you were in a hurry your first morning). It does take a little while if it is your first time.

Have fun!

You can also purchase the Annual Passes online at the DVC Members website and then select the willcall option.

We will be gong down in early December and are planning on getting annual passes. In addition we would like to get the former DDE (now Tables in Wonderland Plan). What is the most efficient way to do this so we can get our Annual Passes and then be able to purchase the DDE so we can use it for lunch on our first day? It sounds like we will have to leave the resort to get the passes at Guest Relations and then have to buy the DDE. Can we do that at the same place where we buy the passes? If so does that mean that our KTTW cards won't have the meal plans on them? Does that mean that we will be carrying around 3 different cards? Sorry for all of the questions, I'm just trying to figure out the logistics.

A good reminder! I do this everytime I buy or renew my AP. It's great to get the transaction done in advance. This works great!

So how much do they credit you for the 1 day? We actually have a couple of those and thinking about AP's vs. Hoppers for this years trip.

Let me get this straight. You want to buy APs,TIW and your are on the DDP?

You buy the APs and TIW at any Guest Relations location. Yes you will have 3 different cards. Oops... 5 cards, you need you blue DVC Membership card and a picture ID for your AP discount.

A one day base ticket is worth approx. $75 if it was purchased recently. If it's an older ticket you may be better off going through the turnstile to activate the ticket first as that will give it today's value vs. whatever it cost when you first paid for it...however, if you do this -- you must upgrade it to an AP while you are in that park. Also, you can always go to any GS location and have them scan the ticket and tell you how much it's worth.

We got my dd a new AP a few weeks ago...used the DVC discount and then used one of the one day/one park passes that came with our free dining package. The total was $317....oh, she's 14 so paid the adult price.

As disneynutz said, you can purchase your TIW card at Guest Services when you purchase your AP. The TIW card costs $60 and is good for one year. You will have to carry that card with you because you must hand it to your server to get the 20% discount. In order to purchase the discounted AP you will need to present your DVC Membership card and a photo ID. Each adult in your party who is purchasing a discounted AP must present a photo ID showing that they live at the same address as the DVC member.

The TIW is a completely separate program from the DDP. If you have also purchased the DDP for your stay, they will put your credits on your KTTW card. You can use both the DDP and the TIW at the same meal. For example, you could pay for your meal with dining credits from the DDP and use the TIW to get 20% off any appetizers and alcoholic beverages you ordered since those are not covered by the DDP and must be paid for out of pocket.

So you will need your DVC Membership card, a photo ID and a credit card when you go to purchase the discounted AP. You will need the AP and a credit card to purchase the DDE card.

For park touring and dining you will need to carry your KTTW card, TIW card, AP (so you can get into the parks) and I usually carry my DVC Membership card and a photo ID as well.

Thanks, LisaS,
This pretty much answers my questions. I believe that an early poster said that we will not be able to get our Annual Passes and TIW at our resort (SSR). So that means that we'll have to check in and then go to a guest services location before we go to lunch. We are not getting the DDP. I must not have been clear in my origianal posting. I appreciate your help.

You can go to one the Guest Services locations at Downtown Disney to get your APs and TIW card. This would be the closest location to SSR.

We do not have photo ID cards in Britain yet (they are on the way). Do I have to carry my passport everywhere with me to show when I use my TIW card or will I only need it when I purchase the annual pass and TIW card.
Thanks for your help

I wasn't asked for id when I used my TIW card last month.
