Hi all

First of all, great website, lots of useful information on here! We are planning to go to Disneyland Paris at the end of November, 4 adults and 1 child. Booked the flights via Easyjet and booked the Sequoia Lodge with passes included on the website. Since booking, seen lots of people saying about getting annual passes and getting a room only, is this worth doing in our situation? Just wondering if it was worth amending our booking if it meant it worked out cheaper...i've seen 10% discount on hotels being mentioned, but would we need to visit more than once a year to make the passes worthwhile? The price for 2 adults, 4 days 3 nights accomodation+passes at Sequoia Lodge is coming out at £370.

Thanks all.

Hello disneylancs and welcome to the DIS

Unless you are definitely planning on doing another trip within the year, then I don't think that you would save much money by changing to an AP and room only booking - but then I'm really not an expert on APs!

Hopefully somebody will be able to give you more help. :)

Hi

Thanks for the reply, I thought that might be the case...still saved quite a bit by booking hotel and flights seperately so not too bad!:thumbsup2

Hi disneylancs, welcome to the DIS! :welcome:

I wouldn't call myself an expert on APs either :rotfl: but the majority of people who have APs do tend to stay in the offsite hotels which are quite a bit cheaper than the Disney ones so that is where it is possible to make quite a saving. Of course the offsite hotels aren't so close to the parks as the Disney ones hence why they are cheaper! ;)

Expedia usually shows room only prices as well as prices with park passes, perhaps you could work out along with the cost of APs (prices shown here) whether it would be worth you considering changing.

You need to calculate too how much you will eat/drink and shop. The discounts with a Dream AP are 20% for shopping. I find this can make a pass pay for itself in one visit.
