OK! We're considering our options for an annual pass purchase. I've read about the differences. What about the premium ap would make you purchase it? Are the discounts deep enough? Any thoughts anyone?:confused3

We live close enough that we go on day trips. So the free parking that comes with the premium pass will make up the difference in price. We also like to go at all times of the year and often camp on the long weekend holidays so being able to go 365 days a year works best for us.

Under the current pricing, the PAP costs the same as a regular AP plus a water parks/DQ AP and more than a regular AP plus either a water park AP or a DQ AP.

So if you are going to do both water parks and DQ it is a toss-up. But then if you are also going to want the free rounds at the Oak Trail Golf Course it becomes a real bargain.

But other than the entry to the minor parks the benefits are the same for the regular AP and the PAP.

Hmmm. That's what I was wondering. I thought the disount potential was supposed to be the same, but when I looked at the website, it did not list any discounts for the ap but did for the premium. Thanks!

We got premium this time.

Dh never wants to get regular APs again. Premium includes FREE GOLFING at one of the courses and if that course is closed, they allow you to go to another one. He golfed every afternoon while I stayed in the parks. He often took one or two of the boys with him too and they had a lot of fun.

We also do DQ and the waterparks.

We go with the premium you get Wide world of sports and DQ and the water parks. DQ is a life saver on rainy days Two trips to any of these and its payed for

Thanks for your input everyone. It is hard to take the plunge the first time while feeling like I don't have the whole picture clear in my head. We've never purchased the passes before, but are beginning to think that we should. We go too often to not give it a try. I definitely think it will save us some $.

I am confused by this statement - can you please explain it? Thanks, Tiger

Thanks - BTDT with your sticky and it's very informative, but your wording above is very confusing. It sounds like you are saying the same thing, but that is impossible. You say that a PAP costs the same as an AP plus Water Park AP, and then you say that same PAP costs more than an AP plus Water Park AP. Huh? I'm missing something...

Tiger :confused3

There is a water park AP, there is a Disney Quest AP, and there is also a combined water park and Disney Quest AP.

The PAP costs the same as a regular AP plus the combined WP/DQ AP.

The PAP costs more than a regular AP plus a WP AP and it also costs more than a regular AP and a DQ AP.

And with the PAP you also get entry into WWS and Oak Trail Golf.

Got it! That was much easier to understand with the addition of the word "combined" in there. Thanks so much for taking the time to clear that up!

I appreciate it, Tiger :)
