Hi,

Do you have to have a Premier Annual Pass to gain hotel discounts at Universal? I'm not sure if the Preferred Annual Pass includes hotel discounts. Just trying to work out if buying an annual pass is beneficial or not.

Thank you.

Preferred pass is acceptable for hotel discount, its what we have:thumbsup2

Also consider AA membership to gain AAA discounts, for August I checked a few days ago, AAA discounts available but no AP discounts yet.
AA membership can be bought for about £9 via Quidco if you don't have it.

Edit just checked its £28 less £21 cashback =£7 for the year. This offer expires this evening but they will have another.

No need to purchase a pass until you see or book at AP price. you can book AP rate and then buy or order you AP for collection, as you will need to show it at checkin , or if you have not collected it you can show it later.

Re AA discount - do you put in your membership number when booking through the Lowes site?

Thank you.

You need to ring to book, ask for triple AAA discounts, don't mention AA they won't have a clue.

Robert is more experienced than me with Universal so he might correct me but I believe you can book on here http://www.aaasouth.com/ use ZIP 32830(DTD) if it asks.

To give you an example of the savings it is showing, I am looking at 3 nights in August 25th-28th, on Universals site Portofino is $246/night, AAA site is $219/night

I just can't decide if I want to go back again.

Hi Wayne, never booked through the TripleA site, only direct as its easier to apply lower rates if they come out, but use that site to see if any are available, prior to phoning reservations.

Also how long are you planning to stay, if its 1 or 2 nights an AP would probably not be the best as when you count in the cost and what you save on the room. The last few years our best rate has been with the stay more save more but need to stay more than 4 nights, we have not used our AP for any of our bookings, as the stay more has always been better on our dates.
