Annual Pass Renewal

Hi, I thinking of buying an annual pass renewal for the first time but I have a couple of questions. My current annual pass expires around 1/21/19; can I buy my renewal now and avoid any possible price increase? Do you think there will be a price increase for the annual pass this year? Thank you in advance for any information you can offer.

Yes, you can buy one now and the voucher should be good until 2030 to activate. Annual passes historically have had price increases in February.

Thank you so much for the quick reply. I'm thinking of buy them now to hopefully avoid any price increase and to spread out the cash outlay...

The official policy is you can renew beginning at 60 days prior to your current passes expiration date and up to 30 days after. Disney might not allow you to renew until 11/22/2018 (based on 1/21/2019 expiration).

Will you be visiting again within two months of your pass expiring? If not, it's cheaper to buy a new one at full price. That you could do now and wait to activate it whenever.

Thanks aoconnor, I normally don't buy an annual pass renewal because it doesn't usually work to my advantage for the reason you stated. This time I thought I would, I would still get two trips out of it like I normally do, one in Dec 2019 and the 2nd in the earlier part of Jan 2020. I would save a little money by buying the renewal and still get two trips. I wouldn't buy my next annual pass until Jan 2021.
