Hello,

I am new to the board and I hope someone can help me. It is time for us to renew our annual passes and we are trying to decide what to do if we renew at all. We had Gold passes but those are no longer available. The only option under the old offerings we are eligible for is Platinum but we have that option for only 2 more days.

Regarding the new passes:

1.) If I choose a pass with blackout dates and add the water parks, are those subject to the same blackout dates as the passes I bought? I assume so because this is Disney but figured I’d ask.

2.) Regarding any add on, is that added to the monthly cost or do I have to pay those upfront, outright if we renew with one of the newer ones?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Wouldn’t you get sorcerer if you had gold? Although there have been reports that CMS have said if you renew gold prior to 9/8, you’ll be subject to the gold terms

When I go in to my renew options, all I have listed is Platinum. It says Gold is no longer an option.

Are you out of state? I think I read that only DVC blue card holders qualify for the lower tier if they are not FL residents

No, we lived in Tampa until April and we moved to Jacksonville. While some may dispute this and claim it’s actually South Georgia, it is part of Florida at least in name. :)

If you are currently eligible for a Gold Pass, I think you have another couple days to renew the Gold Pass. In the future, you should be eligible for any of the passes, since most are specific to Florida residents. As mentioned, the Sorcerer Pass will be closest to the current Gold. That Gold should still be an option for you until the new passes go into effect 9/8.

Sorry - I'm not clear on how the water park add-ons will work.

Are you a DVC member? If so, you have to call Member Services to renew a Gold pass. If you are trying to renew a Florida resident Gold pass, I don’t know whether you can renew that online or have to call the VIPassholder line or ticketing.

Thanks everyone. We went ahead and renewed with the platinum offer. At least for one more year we got photopass and discounted magic bands. I say discounted because there was only 1 available for $15 and we all got something else. I did the 50th preorder and it was an extra $30.

Anyway, this will give us time to see what these new ones that start on September 8 are like for others and go from there. It’s also a chance that if we decide it’s too far from Jacksonville to do it regularly, we hate the new passes and system with no fast pass at all, we have the opportunity to say goodbye.

Per Disney Website ....

Water Park and Sports Option****
Unlock exhilarating experiences beyond the theme parks for just $99 plus tax for the year.
Enjoy more opportunities to play—with admission to water parks, golf courses and other sensational sports experiences.

For the duration of your Annual Pass, adding the Water Park and Sports Option includes Passholder admission to select Walt Disney World experiences (with no blockout dates):

Question :
They say Downpayment and 12 months of payments. Does that mean to start its 205 + first month? Kinda crappy for me because I'm buying 4 so that's $200 more

Has anyone been able to confirm if the no blackout dates also mean that you can go during the weekend to a water park if you have a Pixie Dust AP, which is a weekday-only AP?

From the wording on the Disney Parks Blog my understanding is that you have to pay the $205 + the first of the 12 monthly payments.

*12 monthly payments based on remaining balance after one-time down payment on date of purchase. 0% APR. Monthly Payment Program only available to Florida residents at least 18 years old with valid ID. Subject to additional terms and conditions.
