Hello, I am not sure if this is the right place for this question...

We are going to WDW this July and are planning on going again in March 2017 so that I can be there on my 40th birthday! :-)
we are thinking purchasing Annual Passes is the way to go (we usually stay 10 days on our visits). Can anyone give me an idea of AP hotel discounts? How far in advance are those available and what is a typical discount? We always stay at POR but are open to other options.

Thank you!

Normal APs with taxes are just under $800. If you're looking at more than 10 park days in a year, I'd say go for it because tickets for both trips ( I just looked, two 8 day non hoppers is $808) so you would break even there, plus you'd get the memory maker and AP food and hotel discounts and free parking. I'm considering getting one myself but I only have one trip planned now.

Good luck!

I would say to go for it, especially with 2 longer trips like that. I just upgraded to an AP with our trip last a couple weeks ago. For me, it was $400 above what I already paid, but with the cost of the Memory Maker that I would have added anyway, it was really only $250 to bump up. Plus, we got 10% discount on merchandise during the trip. Hoping for another shorter trip in the fall for F&W with my sister, and hoping for a pass holder resort discount at that time. 2017 is the 4-0 year for me as well, but we will likely do a spring trip, as my bday is in June, and there is no way I would get my winter-loving hubby to go to FL in June!
