Does anyone have an idea of about much of a discount there is for the Grand Californian if you have an annual pass?

Also, I've seen people talk about converting their ticket to an annual pass. We're in that group that needs more than 5 days and we don't really need an annual pass, but I'm contemplating it anyway. So how does that work, can you start using your tickets and convert the pass? Is there a link to a website that might explain the details? TIA!

AP hotel discounts are about 10% off of normal rate, but couple that with a promotional rate that is running and it does actually help out. plus AP's usually have a promotion that gets a you a fastpass or 2 and a photopass print for free

You can upgrade a park ticket to an annual pass as long as (1) the ticket is still valid, and (2) there is still at least one day left on the ticket, even if you are in the park on the last day of the ticket.

Hotel discounts for AP holders vary according to the time of year and hotel occupancy. At times, there may be no discount available and other times there may be discounts aplenty. The percentage off the rack rate can vary as well.

And you have to book an AP discounted room. You can't convert your ticket and then get a discount on a room that wasn't booked as an AP room.
