I have an annual pass that I purchased last April prior to purchasing DVC. I received a notification that it is up for renewal. The renewal fee is $378.08. (The renewal form indicates that the regular price is $420.68.

My questions are:
(1) What is the discount for DVC members? Is the discount off my current renewal fee or the regular price?

(2) How are renewals handled? Previously we were sent a voucher that we brought to the ticket window and they provided us with a pass that activates the first day it it used at the park. This may be sometime after the actual expiration date of the original pass. Is this system still the same or does the renewal become immediately effective, i.e. the day after the original pass expires.

Thanks for your help!

presently the discount for DVC is $100 for regular so it would be just under 315.00 with tax. But there are a lot of rules who they can be purchased for.
good luck :cool1:

Copied this from the Members' website for you:

2005 Member Savings
Walt Disney World® Resort Ticket

Product Discount Off Retail Price Ages 10 + Ages 3 - 9

Annual Pass $100.00 $85.00
Florida Resident Annual Pass $20.00 $17.00
Annual Pass Renewal $75.00 $64.00
Premium Annual Pass $125.00 $106.00
Florida Resident Premium Annual Pass $25.00 $21.00
Premium Annual Pass Renewal $95.00 $80.00

The discount is off the gate price of the renewal.

If you renew, the year starts on your anniversary date. You no longer get to wait until you exchange the renewal voucher for the year to start.

If your next visit isn't going to be for awhile, you are probably better off to just buy a new AP/PAP and get a full year from your visit. There is only about a $16 difference between renewing and buying (after the discount is applied).
