Annual Pass Question

Hi there hope someone can help me out with a question.

We're a family of 4 coming over to Disneyworld in September from Australia, we have planned for 7 days at Disneyworld and the plan was to get three 7 day park hopper tickets with the water park add-on and one annual pass. We aren't staying in a Disney resort so the idea behind the annual pass is to take advantage of the free parking and discounts on food etc.

My question is, with the annual pass I know we get photo pass downloads included, so do we need to add the memory maker to the other tickets or can I add my family's photos to the annual pass?

Hope my question makes sense and appreciate any advice you can give.

I think as little no as the person with the AP is in the picture and/or has his/her ban scanned you should be fine. No need to add memory maker since the AP holder gets the pics anyway.

We are AP holders and all ride pics appear automatically in my MDE phone app. I've never looked for them on the MDE website, but they must be there if they are on the phone app.

You can get everyone's photos as long as their tickets are linked to your my disney experience account.

Any photopass photographer will link them to your park ticket card (or magic band if you buy on - the ap band generally can't be ordered until after your first trip - not sure if there are international exceptions to that).

Ride photos should be automatically added if you rode the ride with a magic band, but most will have the photos at the end of the ride. These will have mickey head touch points, and you tap your park card or magic band to the point to link the cards.

As we are not staying onsite and therefore not getting magic bands given to us, are we able to pre-purchase some magic bands and link them to our tickets?

You can if you want to, I think they are in the Disney store online (and in every park) but you don't need to, as all the photos can alternatively be linked to your park ticket card. The only added perk is auto-linking if ride photos (and a few extra ride photos like seven dwarves mine train).

Really look at the dining discounts for WDW. Disneyland offers a flat dining discount for all Disneyland QS and TS locations for AP holders. The WDW dining discount is a lot more select and requires some planning to make sure you maximize that benefit as an AP holder.
