If I only buy one AP for our family (to take advantage of some of the discounts) and I buy it for my 16 year old is she considered "adult" enough to put the room ressie in her name? I want to get 10 day non-expiring tickets for the rest of us but as she cannot join us for our next planned trip it would make more sense to buy her the AP. Thanks for your help.

i think specifically, the AP holder needs to be the one booking the room which a 16 year old can't do.

why can't someone else get the AP?

The AP will only be used for the one trip and will expire before we go again. We will buy 10 day non expiring tickets to use for this trip and our next but the 16 year old will not be with us for the next trip so it would just make better financial sense of I could buy the AP for her. No worries, the price difference is not that significant, just wondering since she has to pay the "adult" price.;)

but if you want AP benefits, why not just buy one for someone who's going? that's what i'm lost on. you don't have to get the same tickets for everyone unless it's a package in which case you can't get an AP rate anyway.

unless you were hoping to use the AP for other things?

Brad:

The 16 yr old is going on another trip (think school trip) without the parents. So the annual pass makes sense for her.. not the other family members.

I'm guessing.

I may be wrong but the way I read the post the OP's whole family is going on this upcoming trip. The next trip the daughter can't go. AP's for the rest of the family won't work as the 2nd trip is more than a year away from the 1st so the Op wants to buy 10 day no exp. tickets for them to use for both trips. She'd like to get an AP rate so she would like to get an AP but it won't be used again so she wants to use it as her daughter's ticket this trip.

You must have the room in the AP holders name..and you must be over 18 to do that.... even though the price of the AP is the same, at 16 you are considered a Jr for when you are booking a room.. 18 is adult. When purchasing the ticket 16 is considered adult, I think from 10 & up is....
