I ordered an AP on line from the universal site. Is what I received my actual pass or a voucher? Do I have to do anything when I get to the park other than the usual thumbprint process? Lastly, can I add myself to the mardi gras float list with this or not? It wouldn't work on the site which is what got me thinking. Thanks ! TGIF! 43 days to go!

When you ordered your AP what did you specify for pickup---kiosk? fedex? What type of pass did you order? Are you a Florida resident?

The actual pass is a credit card sized ticket that says Annual pass on it.

Did you get a thick paper pass in the mail with a barcode and writing? If you did than that's you pass. It's made from a special paper that will last for a long while. Yes, when you first go into the parks you will need a fingerprint passing through. You also might need to show id since it's your first time.

If you want to be on a float call guest services and ask. I know sometimes that you can sign up in the morning before that night but not 100% positive.

Sorry for the long delay in responding-I appreciate your quick responses. I really need a vacation !

I had it mailed to me. It's a preferred pass. There is a place for my signature on it so I guess this is the actual. It looks like I'll need my photo Id and index finger, just at any kiosk right? And the expiration will be a year from activation?

I was confused since these numbers didn't work to get on the float list but I guess that is because it's not activated yet?

Thanks all! Exactly one month and counting!!!!!

Yep, proceed to the gates and show id and your finger print. Yes they are good for 1 year from first time thru gates.

You might not be able to sign up as the pass is not really used and active. When you get the the gates go to guest service and explain. Maybe they can fit you in.

We will be there for a week one month from today too ! Can't wait - and also at Royal Pacific. I wish you lots of fun planning and may these days fly by - then slow down as soon as we arrive! :yay:

We attempted to get on a MG float and guest services told us that all spots were already filled up. They have a waiting area by the Barney area. When we got on they made the AP holders wait on the left side of the sidewalk and if there were any extra spots they gave them out in order of arrival. We almost didn't make it on as they only had single tickets and then did another band check and they found a couple more group bands. We were on the lead float and the crowds were crazy. Unfortunately we all ran out of beads right around Terminator and Mels.
