Can the annual pass with the DVC discount be purchased at checkin at SSR?

No, but you can go to Guest Services at any park or DTD to buy your APs. But remember it will be activated upon purchase at GS.

On the DVC website, it gives two prices for annual passes. One price says, "advance purchase"... which is cheaper... I'm not sure if you can get that price at the park or not, but I am not an expert on this!

You know I saw your post last week and wondered what you were talking about. But I just checked the member site and saw! I think it is a mistake on the site. The price listed as Advanced Purchase Price is the price for the AP with DVC discount...whether purchased in advance or at the gate. I think.

You can purchase your AP on-line through DVC website and select the "Will Call" option. You will then be e-mailed a confirmation number. Make sure you have this number when you pick up your AP at Guest Services.

I purchased my AP this way last summer and saved $ on shipping.

Yes. All you need is your DVC membership card and a photo ID.

None of the resorts can handle any transactions that involve an AP or PAP ticket. That's why you have to go to a Guest Relations desk/booth.

what time does GS close in DTD? We arrive around 8p and wondered if we could still make it....or would the online option allow me to upgrade hoppers we have now to an AP???

GS closes the same time as the DtD shops, usually 10pm or 11pm, I think.

It's just outside the park. We like to go to the one at the International Gateway at Epcot. Never any wait.

To the OP: Remember if you arrive late and get your AP that night, you lose one day off your pass since it is activate immediately. Wait until the next morning and you AP will be good for one more day.

Yes, it is. Probably 2 or 3 minutes once you hit the sidewalk in front of BC.

BTW, there are also GS inside each park if you need to make dining reservations, help with a pass, etc..

I called MS today to ask about AP purchase, and they told me I could do it at OKW guest relations. I knew better, or at least had some idea I should be going to DTD and she said no, that the hotel could do it.

I guess I'll see when I get there. Typical.

Speaking of AP purchase, our DVC discounted AP is up on June 3, 07. Now, the question-when can I renew this pass? I have heard I have 1 month to renew, i.e. I can purchase a renewal on July 3, 07. OR... Do I have to renew by June 3, to get the renewal price?
