Can someone please tell me the price of the annual pass for a nonresident and the DVC discount. Are you able to park hopp with the pass (more than one park in the same day). How about admission to the water parks, PI and quest? Can you add these options and how much additional?

We am trying to decide between the discounted AP and the Magic Your Way 7 day ticket which is 233 and allows admission to the water parks, etc.

You can Park hop But if you want Waterparks/Pleasure Island/Disney Quest/Wide world of sports you will need to get the "premium" annual passport.

I am not sure about the discount since we are still waiting for everything to get finalized(buying) but it is either 25% or $100 off, On the non-premium pass 25% equals $100.

Adult Non discount prices online are shown as.
Premium = $515
non-premium = $395

The DVC discount on a PAP is $125 for adults.

The benefit of the AP/PAP needs to be figured based on the number of days you will be able to use the pass in the next year and compared to the price of a comparable MYW pass for the number of days you'll need. The 10-day MYW pass may actually be a better deal than an AP in some situations. If you will have several opportunities to use the AP/PAP - it will likely be the better deal still.

Just do the math before deciding.

The Annual pass also allows you to buy the Disney Dining Experience card, this saves me alot on money as well! pirate:

I am buying a new AP in Nov since my most recent one expired on Aug 15. I have a trip of 5 days in Nov and then another one in Oct '06 for 5 days. I'll hae the discounted AP for about $300 to use on both trips, plus the DDE card. That has already saved me about $300 in two trips. So a new one will be in order for my Oct '06 trip.
But since my dd is only going on the second trip, she will get a MYW 10 day non-expire, no plus pass for $354. That way she will use 5 days of it and have 5 days left for another visit. After the '06 trip, we aren't sure we'll be back with in the next 12 months...so the MYW pass is the best option for her. And since it's only $70 more than the 5 day pass, well it only makes sense.

We go once per year usually (this year twice) but we time our trips so that we purchase one annual pass for two annual trips. Last year we went down at the end of October and this year we go at the beginning of October. Works out well.

Where do I get info about the Disney Dining Experience card?

If the DDE is not a large consideration for you consider a 10 ticket with no expiration. They are 300-350 for 10 and up, but unused days never expire, so you could have 2 ten day tickets for that price, and not have to worry about traveling twice within the same year. :smooth:

where did you find the 233.00 price for a 7 day plus water park ticket?? Just returned from wdw and purchased a 4 day park hopper, expiring, for a cost of 234.00.

We don't use the water parks as often as we did in the past, so park hopper pass (Magic your way with park hopping) is usually right for us, but an annual pass with the dvc discount is cheaper IF we return more than once within the 12 month period.

We will be doing some creative ticketing this year. annual pass for me in October using dvc discount & awards, Annual pass for hubby and #3 son in Dec with dvc discount, number two son I've purchased a 10 day non expiring hopping pass (365.00) since he is not as obsessed with wdw as the rest of us and only enjoys wdw in small doses and once a year is more than enuf for him. So even thought the annuals are a good deal at (327.00) for 3 of us, its not a good value for someone who will not enjoy going more than once within a 12 month period. And son number 3 just started the Disney College Program so has free admissions for the next 4 months.

You really need to look at when you will be returning, how many days will you be using the tickets within a 12 month period (I believe you start to get your money's worth at 7 days), will you be taking advantage of the other discounts afforded to pass holders (hotels, mini golf, rentals, purchases, etc..)
good luck

We just bought our AP's with our DVC discount. Not the premium. With these we can park hop but we don't have access to DD, water parks, or PI.

Price with discount and including tax:

Adult: 314.18
Child: 267.32

We did the math between these and the 10 day non-expiring. We'll do what a lot of people do here - go this year, and then go one week earlier next year. Then we'll take a break for a while, and probably buy another AP at our next trip and do it again. Since both trips will be 7 or 8 days, it's a better deal for us, and we like having the flexibility of coming and going as much as we want without feeling like we "have to get our money's worth" so much out of each day. We have little kids, so we'll probably just go in a little every day, instead of pulling marathon days every other day as we have in the past.

We also got the DDE ($50) and it will be good through our trip next year. We'll probably get our money back and a bit more this year, and next year will be all savings with it.

HTH.

I picked up a vacation planning guide from the Disney store and there is a page on magic your way tickets. 7 day MYW with Magic Plus is 233/adult and 196/child 3-9. 4 day pass is 230/193. It is extra if you buy one with no expiration date but the prices are not listed.

It looks like the $233.00 is the 7 day pass with water parks (magic plus) that have an expiry on them.

It is available throught Ticket Mania if you subscribe to the Mousesavers Free Newsletter.

We just bought the 10 day, no expiry premium park hoppers throught Ticket Mania and this should last us at least 5 trips or 3 years worth of visits.

This works out better for us because we really don't go to the parks every day on our visits and like to take time to shop and enjoy the resort as well.

Really depends on how much you plan to visit the parks and how many days per year you will be visiting Disney and actually going to the parks.
