Annual Pass Decision

Also keep in mind that APs only allow 7 days of FP+ reservations at a time. You may need to wait a couple days to upgrade or risk losing the last days of FP+ you have reserved.

Also, with 19 park days planned, consider whether Tables in Wonderland might be cost effective for you.

Something else not mentioned, you can get additional room discounts as an AP holder. While they are small, often about 5% more than GP discounts, they do add up. And the pool of rooms are different. So the GP may be sold out at a given resort but the AP discount won't be.

Just to add to this, sometimes it's a better room than you wanted is left in the pool at a certain resort but if you check back in a few weeks, what your looking for might be added or open up. I ran into this in feb, I was staying at pofq but I had to get a garden room which I booked.. I just happened to check for a new discount closer to the trip and didn't find a new discount but I did find a standard room so I switched my reservation and saved a little bit more (few dollars per day but it adds up)

Yes, always check if you didn't book the exact room/category you wanted. There isn't a trip I've done this past year where more rooms opened up a few days before (near the date someone would have to cancel)
One of the best things about the Change Reservation feature they added to the website, this is now easy to do.

Only if you do not have a resort reservation.
If you do, you can book for every day of your stay. I have a 10 day stay in July and FP for every day. And I was able to book that at the same time as the 5 day stay I had in May. So I had 15 days of FP booked at once.

I just read another thread about incorrect pricing on the AP and thought I'd do the math first. Here are my calculations:
July 9 day wp+ = $439 x 2 = $878 (booked as Awaken Summer Fun Package)
Dec 9 day tix = $370 x 2 = $740
= $1618 total for both trips.

Since we are using the the water park tix in July (meeting with Fla friends so can't cancel), we have to purchase the Platinum Plus Pass @
$829 x 2 = $1658.

My charge for the upgrade should be $1658 - $878 (July trip paid) = $780 - $150 (July Memory Maker paid) = $630.

The benefits to doing so include 10% merchandise discount, no charge memory maker for December, and adding hoppers and waterparks to December trip. In addition, I think I might be eligible for a room discount on the WL standard view I have already booked as a package for December.

Thank you!

If you are only planning to go to the water parks the one time, you could look into purchasing a separate admission, rather than purchasing the platinum plus.
