Annual Pass and MagicBand Question

We are planning on purchasing APs for our next trip in November. We are staying offsite this time, because we have already been on site once this year, so we want the free parking and we will want the tickets for our on site visit in October 2015.

My question is how do I get the really cool MagicBands for our November trip? We are in Canada, so I don't even know if getting them in advance is an option but it looks like it might be from the website. If I buy the APs from Disney's website, do they activate them right away or do I get a voucher to activate at Customer Relations when we arrive? If I get a voucher, can I customize MagicBands with that? Can you get MagicBands at Customer Relations if we buy them at DTD? Or am I just going to have to use the cards in Nov and wait till I get back. We do already have ugly grey ones from a last minute trip in January, but I'd really like some colourful ones!

Everything with MyMagic+ is fluid but here is how it stands today.

Disney is not distributing MBs to AP holders when they get their passes at the parks. They are mailing them later.

If you buy online, you will be given a voucher (either will call or a ticketed voucher if you want to pay for shipping). The timing on your AP will not start until you renew that voucher.

You can link your voucher in MDE so that you can select FP+ reservations. By linking the AP vouchers in MDE, you will also link them to any MBs attached to the person who owns the AP. Those older MBs you have will work for your APs.

You can purchase MBs in DtD but they will cost about $13 apiece.
