Annual pass and fast passes?

I have gotten the message that my fastpass limit is reached. I don’t understand why it was not allowing me to make fast passes. Is there a rule I was not aware of?

My plan is as follows:
Onsite stay Aug 30-Sep 4 visiting with family
Off-site stay sep 9-11 visiting with friends
Onsite stay sep 14-16 visiting solo

I booked my aug 30- sep 4 stay, and the sep 14-16 at the 60 day mark.

Today, I decided to book sep 9 (30 day). It said I was at my limit? I had to cancel FP’s for Sep 2, then I could book. Not sure what to do for sep 10, 11?

You can only have 7 FPs at a time unless they are associated with an onsite stay, then you can book length of stay. So you won't be able to have all of the days for the offsite stay until you use some of your initial stays FPs.

You book up to 14 days for on site and up to 7 days for off site

Thank you for your help everyone! I wish I could have found that info when I started planning this trip.
I called Disney tech support, and she relinked my hotel reservation, then said that it must be that my stay was short ( 2 reservations aug 30-sep1, sep1-4) so it didn’t recognize it as a different stay.

Also, I will go read the fastpass FAQ, I hadn’t known about it before!
