Thanks for reading! :thumbsup2

I am new here and planning my first DVC trip. I want to find out about the annual pass? How do you use it so you can go two times a year? We plan on going the around the first week of Dec every year for a week or two. So if I buy my pass on Dec 1st 2005 does it expire Dec 1st 2006? :goodvibes :confused3

What sort of discounts do you get with an AP? :confused3

What about the AP dining plan is it worth it? :confused3

Right, if you buy it at WDW or activate a voucher on 12/1, it is good through 12/1 next year.

You plan your trips so your second year trip is right before it expires. For example, this year 12/7 to 12/14, next year, 12/1 to 12/7, so you can use the same pass for both.

I think DDE is worth it, especially if you work it to use the same one for more than 1 trip.

I just purchased my first AP yesterday via telephone through DVC...I was told when my voucher is turned in and exchanged for the actual AP is true date, not the date of purchase.... I will be using mine 4 times in the next 12 months....and I am also purchasing the DDE card which gives you a great discount at many of the WDW dining options....

both of these give you lots of bang for your buck if you plan right..

Thanks so much for the information!! I am going to call today and make our reservations!! Yipee!!!

With an annual pass you can buy the Disney Dining Experience card. The card gives you discounts at most TS restaurants. Don't confuse it with the Disney Dining Plan which is a prepaid meal plan.

To use your AP on two trips, make your next trip one or two weeks earlier than your current one.

I was also going to point that out... DDE is for 20% off most WDW TS restaurants, not CS. If you'll spend more than $300 on TS meals then the DDE is definately worth it. Note: you can purchase the dining plan as part of your DVC stay, which gives 1TS, 1CS, 1Snack for each night on your reservation.

As others mentioned, book your stay this year during the 2nd or 3rd week of December, and then in 2007 book it for the first week of december... then you can get 2 trips out of your APs and the DDE. If you can't work out the vacations to go when you can get 2 years out of the AP and depending on how long your stays will be each trip, you might want to consider getting 10-day non-expiring park hoppers, then do the dining plan. Or only get 1 AP so you can have access to the DDE and some of the other discounts, and the others make them 10-day no-exp hoppers.

Just some thoughts.
