Annual pass and DDP?

We're planning a big trip for the extended family in Nov. 07, I'm also thinking of doing two much shorter trips in Sept. 07 and July 08 for just me and DS. So I'm thinking it might make sense for me and DS to have annual passes for the year. But it would not make sense for the rest of our Nov. 07 party to get APs. So... how does it work for the DDP if some people in the room have APs and others don't? We all want to be on the DDP for Nov. 07, could DS and I be on it if we are AP holders?

I thought the DDP was tied to the MYW tickets, which AP holders don't use, right?

Thanks!

The DDP is tied to your # of nights at your resort, not to the ticket you purchase, BUT everyone on your reservation has to have the same ticket.

So, here is what you do. For the Sept 07 trip, you and your DS purchase APs.

Then for your large November trip, book the trip with DDP and a 1-day base ticket for everyone.

After check-in everyone in the group goes over to the resort concierge desk and upgrade that 1-day base ticket to whatever admission media they desire.

You and your DS do nothing, just use your APs for your admission. DO NOT use your resort key for admission. When your trip is over hold on to those room keys as that one-day admission if not used is good forever.

Then use your APs for that July 08 trip.

Then some time in the future after September 08 when you go back to Disney, use those one-day admissions to upgrade to whatever admission you need for your future trips (including AP).

Thank you so much! That'll work out perfectly.
