Afternoon everyone

Apologies if I have posted this on the wrong area, just seemed like the best place to

My sister and brother law along with my nephew and niece all live in Florida and I travel to the UK 3 or 4 times a year to see them.

It always leads to at least a couple of days at Disney (who doesn’t love a fun uncle who rides the rollercoasters and buys them ice cream right!)

They are all annual pass holders but being from the UK currrently I’m not. I looked into it and an annual pass for me would cost over $1600 (from what I can tell anyway) where as my sister pays somewhere around $600

Is there a way she can apply for an annual pass for me as well being a family member or is it only if you have family who also live in Florida?

Any advice I would be extremely grateful

Thanks 🙏 😊

All the passes have had large increases over the last 5 years or so. Even the Florida resident Pirate Pass is now $750 and that one still blocks out 75 days of the year, and that is the renewal price. Full price is ~$900. (Prices include taxes)

There’s one cheaper AP option, the Pixie Pass for ~$500 but blocks out at least 160 days.

I fell ya with how expensive multi-day tickets have become if you visit a few times a year. There were a few years we actually spent more than even the Incredipass because we just weren’t sure how many trips we’d end up taking. With 5 day hoppers crossing $800 in the fall, it’s easy for those ticket prices to add up to a hefty sum annually even if you ended up only doing 10-14 park days but had it over 3 trips. They are getting us all!

This is the pass I get. The block outs on the weekends are no big deal and we want to avoid the parks during the summer/holidays. It still gives us the discounts on dining, rooms, etc. I think I paid $465 this past year but am not renewing; there isn't enough in new attractions for at least a couple of years so we are going to go Universal in 2025/2026.

But that is only available to FL residents or a DVC owner, which I do not believe they are. The OP is in the UK, so they can't purchase that pass. Only the Incredipass.

Check the price of the pass vs. how much you would pay in tickets as it really depends on how many days you will go! But yes, for non- Florida residents, it’s not cheap!

DVC owners get the equivalent of the ~$900 Pirate Pass. They call it Sorcerer Pass to differentiate between FL Res and DVC member.

Not all DVC members can access it though. Current DVC resale buyers do not get that perk.

I thought the Pixie Dust pass was only available to Fl residents.

No, they aren't the same. Pirate pass and Sorcerer pass are 2 different levels of AP with different block-out dates (Pirate has more block-out dates than Sorcerer). Either is available to FL Residents; DVC-Y is eligible to purchase Sorcerer.

Correct, Pixie, Pirate and Sorcerer are available to FL Residents (as well as Incredi-pass). Only the Sorcerer is available to DVC, and only benefits-eligible DVC so not all owners.

As the first responses indicated, you'd need to have proof of being a FL Resident to activate any of the FL Resident APs (Pixie, Pirate or Sorcerer). A family member cannot purchase a FL Resident pass for an adult who does not have proof of FL Residency.

You are right. Not that long ago DVC and FL Rez extremely similar AP tier with Gold. That level of tier (amongst the others) split off between Pirate and Sorcerer and I did not realize how much they have since diverged. Holy cow!

Now we have:

Sorcerer and Pirate are still both in the mid-tier but quite different, when they used to be extremely similar (if not the same other than name and criteria to purchase).

Sorry, I meant the Sorcerer Pass is only for FL residents or DVC Blue Card owners, not the Pixie. Should have been more clear, my mistake!

Not all Florida residents feel the need the visit the mouse, but with DVC, you are already invested. Disney can cut the discounts with DVC, and still get them into the parks.
