Annual Dues Query

Has anybody else had a huge increase in annual dues this year?
Our dues last year totalled $707.00, this year they have jumped to over $900.
That's an increase of about 30%.
Have I not accounted for something?

Do you pay your dues monthly with an automatic withdrawl from your bank account?

Are you calculating that based on your automatic January withdrawl, multiplying it by 12? January had a higher than usual payment since it was a catch-up month for underpayment of estimated taxes for last year.

Your February payment will be lower.

Do you have your annual dues statement handy? At the bottom you'll see where it says how much your January payment is, then your Feb-Nov payments, and your final Dec payment.

I don't have my annual statements to hand but I pay annually, on or around the 20th Jan.
I would have thought that the figure would be approximately the same as last year plus a percentage increase of about 3-4%.

Can't get through to accounting at the moment though....

Which resort do you own at? OKW had the highest increase, almost 10%.

As Caskbill has stated, an underpayment of property taxes from last year plus the additional from this year could add up to a bigger increase than logic would lead one to believe possible if you look only at the total.
