What is with this lady!! I dont think this woman ever takes her shoes off! She STOMPS around the house all the time and is always moving furniture around! I should be relieved she is doing it so early, usually she starts the racing around after midnight! I don't mind a little noise (hey I'm still young!), but jeez
she HAS to know how annoying this is. I've knocked up on the ceiling one night (or morning! 2am) and she had the nerve stomp back! I WISH I could use my treadmill on my ceiling!
HEEELPPPP MEEEEEEEEE!!

Ahhhhhh . . . apartment life. God how I DON'T miss that! My condolences go out to you. In college my upstairs neighbor had hardwood floors throughout the apartment and wore honest to God combat boots all the time (even though she wasn't in the military; she was just rather manly ;)) Then once I got married we spent our first year in a different, more upscale apartment complex. We made sure to get the upstairs apartment because we were sure it would be quieter. Unfortunately we got the apartment right over Mr. Look What I Just Bought From Circuit City. I love my home theater system too, but I don't feel the need to share it with the rest of the building. Fortunately we were able to save up our money rather quickly and moved into our house within a year. AHHHHHHHH! Peace and quiet. :bounce:

Oh MAN!!! I feel ya!

Our upstairs neighbor has 2 or 3 kids who I swear have like bowling every night! Our apt complex sent out a newsletter saying "be kind to your neighbors. We've has alot of noise complaints" I was about to photocopy is 200 tiems and leave one on their door everynight. It's insane.. we've hit the celing many many times...they just dont seem to care. I see them outside and always make a comment.... Hmmm...maybe next time I'll call the police. We live in a pretty quiet town so maybe it will give them something to do... GRRRRRRRRR.......

I wish I had the guts to go up there and yell at them but I am afraid they dont speak English and they'd probably just stare at me and close the door.... if the neighbors onthe side of me hadnt just had a baby I'd play some heavy metal or something and leave the house for a good hour... at 9pm...see how they like it! Grrrr.

I wish I knew the people on the third floor... i'd ask to borrow their apt for a minute so I could jump up and down for 25 minutes....it's gotten so bad that one of the light in the chandiler was flickering on and off everytime they'd jump.......what the hell is with people?

Ok, I'll confess...sometimes when I am coming home late from hanging out I "accidentally" ring their intercom bell **OOPS** ;)
:smooth:

Do you rent? If so, complain to your landlord. I'm pretty our lease has a clause regarding noise. We've complained a bit more than usual this year because our downstairs neighbor has a BF who thinks the apartment is his personal rehearsal studio (he plays bongo drums, badly ).

We do worry about our cat bothering our downstairs neighbors. We can't/don't sleep through his middle of the night spazz sessions.

Best trick in the book!!! Complain to the landlord or leasing office. I've been there

Mish,
I feel for you - been there also. It's not a bad idea to check with your landlord. I'm in NYC also, and our building has a rule that at least 80% of each apartment's floors must be covered with rugs and/or carpeting because of the noise. Your neighbor may be breaking that rule if it's in effect in your building. Of course, that didn't help us when our upstairs neighbor had wall-to-wall in every room BUT the bedroom and they would move furniture all night. We could never figure that out. They also illegally hooked up a washing machine to their sink and not only flooded their kitchen, the water came through and destroyed most of our kitchen cabinets as well. Luckily, they finally moved away.

I can sympathize. I’ve lived in my condo for a very long time and never had a problem until my upstairs neighbor sold her place last year. Then a guy in his 20s moved in with his MUSIC. The minute he walks in he stomps across his hard wood floors and turns on the stereo full blast. And he plays live electric guitar in the bedroom (which of course is directly above my bedroom). I finally had to say something to him, and thank goodness he's a decent guy and he has toned it down quite a bit. I felt officially OLD when I had to complain about the loud music! I still hear him, but I can live with it. I really don't want to have to move since I live in walking distance from work and I don't think I could afford another place around here. It’s just a shame how much your life can be messed up by inconsiderate neighbors.

My next door neighbors were hanging things on there wall until the day they moved away. No kidding. Everyday we had to listen to what we could only figure was someone pounding nails into the walls (of course the wall we shared with them). The day before they moved, they were still banging away! I always said maybe it was a religious custom for them. Instead of praying 7 times a day, they pounded in nails 20.

Have you considered shooting her? ;)

LMAO!!!!! that sounds like something i would say!

my upstairs neighbors were god awful!!! carpet in every room but the bedroom... and they were always fighting.... then her grown daughter and boyfirend moved in and they were always fighting too! i can't tell you how many times they woke up my children!

i actually had the nads to tell them they were too loud! and guess what they said? "you close your doors too loud" i laughed in their faces! and said well if that is your only complaint get over it! i also told then that if they woke my children up again in the middle of the night with their fighting i was calling the police! and i did! every single time..... they still live here in the complex just in another apartment.... there are no hard feelings, but they know where is stand...

hang in there mish19....

I don't know what to suggest except perhaps to speak with your landlord about this issue. How annoying :(

Love your pretty clipart, Michelle :)
