Annoying things you have overheard at Disney.

Being asked if everyone in England mostly eats haggis and black pudding as their staple diet !!!!!!!!!!!

My 14 year old DS reckons that the most annoying thing he has heard at a Disney park are High School Musical songs. The most annoying thing I have heard are the "alternative lyrics" to them which he comes up with and insists on singing every time we encounter the songs!

Just about everything that came out of ex's mouth last trip. The only time he stopped complaining was when he was asleep :lmao:

I find it strange that most Americans I meet think I must be really reserved and sophisticated (I get the tea and crumpets questions too lol), yet most of the British tourists I've encountered are loud and obnoxious (including most I've travelled with :rotfl2: ).

We went to Liberty Tree Tavern, and they took our names and ADR number. They then asked where we were from (we said the UK).

Skip forward 10 minutes, and a different person shouts "seating the Richards party from England".

How to send a Welshman over the edge in one easy lesson.;)

What you mean wales isnt part of england??? I thought the uk was England?

Are you sure??

Actually, you know what really bugs them, ask them if they are Canadian, they usually get the point then.

being asked "are you guys from scotland, we just love scotland" er no, were from northern ireland " oh really cool, we just love northern ireland":lmao:

Yes and of course the classic along the lines of 'You know X from London?'
"You're from Northern Ireland? I'm sure you'll know Paddy from Cork!" or "Paddy from Dublin?" or "Paddy from Ireland?"
I did meet a nice lady in Walwart who had the wit to ask if were from the UK and said she knew the accent wasn't from England. (Didn't ask if that included those other parts of England, you know, Scotland and Wales...... lol)
:rotfl:

When we were doing a back stage tour we got chatting to a lovely American family whose son (looked about 10) was obsessed with England. He asked my DH why he didn't sound like the characters on Mary Poppins. We explained that we were not from that part of England so didn't have that accent. His reply was, "Oh I though everyone in England sounded like that!"

Or the other one I am asked quite often is, have you met the queen?

On It's a Small World a really loud annoying American lady in the row behind us proudly naming all the 'worlds' we passed through for her kids and anybody within a five mile radius. That is until it started to get tricky around Morocco etc when she started singing the song instead. Obviously this confused her kids who we asking 'mom where are we now then?' to which she replied 'ssshhh honey can't you see mommy's singing? :lmao: priceless

omg way too funny

I remember being asked by a man in contempory resort "have you ever heard of David Beckham" made me chuckle...Oh and posh" :rotfl:
Like nooooo Ive come from Mars ;)

We always get asked where we are from, and we say that we live in London but are originally from Wales. And we always get the same reply - 'but thats England anyway'!
