….Thinking back to the year 2000…My wife and I had just gotten married and the very next day we flew down to Florida and had a wonderful and magical Honeymoon. We spent 4 nights at the YC Concierge level and another 10 nights at POFQ. We ate wonderful every night, V&A’s, Citricos, California Grill, Flying Fish, Yachtsman Steakhouse, etc. We went horseback riding, a fishing excursion from Fort Wilderness, a Cirque du Soleil show and even a Breathless fireworks cruise. We simply enjoyed all of the parks at a slow leisurely pace and couldn’t have imagined a better time. A year later for our 1st Anniversary we did the same thing -- 7 nights at the YC, ate wonderful and enjoyed our time together throughout the parks and the resort.

Now…. fast forward 10 years later it’s coming up to our 10th Anniversary and what could be better than celebrating our Anniversary like we did our Honeymoon and our 1st Anniversary, right? So I’m planning a trip for us again for next September, this time however things will change slightly – we’ll be spending 10 nights at ASMo and we’ll be bringing our wonderful kids who will be 4yo and 1yo. Since the kids go to bed early (6:30pm) and I’m sure we’ll be up early in the morning, I’m trying to look for some different things to do to make the trip more “magical”. It will also be their first time at Disney. I’m sure that lots of people have gone to Disney for their Anniversary and have taken their kids, can anyone share their experience of fun things to do? Also, please share any instances where a little extra “pixie dust” was sent your way – I love reading the stories…. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great!!!

Just want to say CONGRATS on your Anniversary!
Have a MAGICAL time making MEMORIES with your family, what could be better than that??? :cloud9:

Thanks for the congrats....I'm really excited to bring the family to Disney. Every time my son watches a Disney movie he sees the Castle on the intro and tells his little brother, "Sometime we will go there" -- he's going to be sooooo happy.

Happy Anniversary. The first time my husband and I went was for our anniversary. We didn't go again until our kids were 3 and 5 years old and that was for my parent's 50th anniversary. I tell you, the magic is even more wonderful when you see it through the eyes of your children! You are going to have a WONDERFUL time. It brought me to tears to walk down Main Street with my little boys for the first time. I don't really have advice other than just take it slow and savor every moment. Let the magic happen and take lots of pictures. But, you know all that! You are in for quite a treat!!

I agree that seeing Disney through your children's eyes is wonderful. DH and I spent our 10th wedding anniversary in Disney without the kids. Our 15th anniversary is next month (New Year's Eve), and we're celebrating it in Disney with the kids. It's a surprise trip for the kids, and we'll be spending 15 nights there. That's magic enough for us, but DH has lots of surprises up his sleeve, so I may have ideas to report early next year. :)
