Dates 8/10 thru 8/12. 3 days in the parks
Arrived about 11AM and checked in. Room not ready yet but still had access to the lounge. Benefit 1 and 2. No line and snacks right away. Always remember to get your FPs. The CM almost 'forgot'.
Highlights of the trip- WOC dining: Great view, probably pricey, but more food than the 2 of us could eat. We ended up leaving about half of the dessert tray untouched. I'd do it again but it would need to be a special occasion. Will probably do the dessert viewing for F! before we try this again.
Would like to thank the nice couple who gave us their FP for Soaring on Wed. Just to let you know we passed on our Star Tours FP to another couple Fri. We used our hotel FP for Star Tours FP on Fri. Since I have a GAC they never took our FP from us. Rode it 3 times and then decided to donate them to another.
BTM BBQ I think is a great value. Eat til you barf ribs. Lunch is only $20 minus the 15% AP discount.
Even at 7AM for the MM entry, we still had time to eat a quick breakfast in the lounge and get to the gates by 7. MM is great. By 10 we had done all the MTNs., POTC and HM with a cruise down the nile. Plus Star Tours.
Ariel was a walk on all 3 days about 6PM. Rode it 6 times during the 3 days. I liked it but I also like the Fantasyland dark rides and the canal boats. Classic Disney rides.
Down side to the trip. Early entry into DCA is overrated. Only Ariel and Soaring are opened. We walked onto both rides and still had a half hour left. A 3rd or even a 4th ride would make this a better perk. Didn't like the actor who played Aladdin this time. Just used to the other guy I guess. Vinylmation has taken over the park.
My recommendations- Everyone needs to splurge every now and then and stay on property. The web is calling this Club-Level and not Concierge. With only the 2 of us the $/value probably wasn't there. If we had a couple of others then it a great value. Breakfast, snacks and water/soda. If you can make appetizers into a meal then you've got dinner covered also.
