Hubby and I will be celebrating our anniversary while at WDW in September. I would like to try something different..and I know you guys can help. We will be booking our son for the childcare program, so if there is one in the hotel, that is a plus, but not needed, as long as there is one at a close by hotel. We will not be going to the parks that day, so it would need to be outside the parks.
We have already been to:
Narcosses
Cali Grill
Flying Fish

Thanks in advance for your help!!! :bride: :earboy2:

Last year we went to Yachtsman Steakhouse for our anniversary and it was so amazingly good we are going back this year.

Well, the Grand Floridian has a childcare thingie... AND they've got Victoria & Albert's! If ya' can get the Chef's Table, go for it... but I understand the dining room is quite nice too. I just ate there not long ago at the Chef's Table, best meal EVER! Yeah, pricey but oh so good. I plan on, hopefully, booking it for my 11th Ann. next year.

(I'll be posting my V&A review soon as I figures out how to post the pics too.)

We ate at Le Cellier in Epcot...meal was delicious and the server brought us a lovely dessert to share decorated with our names in piped chocolate! We also received an "autographed" postcard with Mickey and Minnie's best wishes for our anniversary! It was all together delightful! :goodvibes

If you like steak try Shula's and you can use the kids club at the Dolphin for no charge for I think 2 hours.

CA Grill... can't beat it- and you can even bring your son- they lower the lights during Wishes & pipe in the music. It makes for an AMAZING & unforgetable memory of your anniversary!

If I were looking for a "special" dinner resturant I think I'd choose Jiko. It is very pretty and dark, which can be romantic. The food is AWESOME. Its far better than the menu looks. First I thought the food there would be "weird" but it wasn't. It was probably the best dinner I've had out in a long long time. And AKL has Simba's child care thing so that would work out well for you too. Besides AKL is kind of like a destination all in itself, you could walk around and look at the animals, maybe listen to the campfire stories or look through the night vision goggles. I think it would be a great aniversary dinner

Jiko is a great suggestion, assuming you want to try a place you haven't already been. Citricos at the Grand Floridian is good, too. Where are you staying?

I know you've said you've been there before, but CG for dinner with Wishes during the meal was the most romantic meal my wife and I have ever had. We were also celebrating an anniversary, our 20th and I wouldn't have changed a thing.

I definitely recommend V&A -- and for romance sake -- i would suggest the regular dining room.

Would not recommend Ohana -- like it and will go back -- but not for romantic/get a baby sitter type eating.

Cal. Grill is also excellent. haven't eaten at Jiko -- but love Boma (but not for a cozy meal).

IMHO the most romantic restaurants at WDW are V&A's and Citrico's.

Both are at the GF. The GF childcare is limited to kids staying at the GF, sometimes they will make exceptions if you are dining at V&A's if they aren't full. I'd play it safe and book the Neverland Club at the Polynesian, my son LOVED it there, was very bummed when at 13 he was too old to go back. It's an easy (and romantic) walk along Seven Seas Lagoon from the PR to the GF, or you can take the monorail

After that would be Bistro, then Jiko and the CG, followed by YSH.

Thank you all for your advise!! We booked the yachtsmen steakhouse for our actual anniversary and our son will be at the sand castle kids club at the beach club. I, also, booked him for the neverland club on 9/9, so I will have to try another suggestion.... :cool1:
