We are going to WDW next summer with our 4 year old and I would really like some suggestions for dinner the night of our 10th anniversary. We have been to WDW many, many times but not a lot of the TS restaurants and almost none for dinner. I think I have looked through the menus of just about every TS resaurant on property and still don't really know what to do so thought I'd open it up to suggestions. Our 4 year old will be dining with us, so that plays a part too. I was really thinking about 'Ohana but the reviews are about 50/50 whether it is worth going. TIA!

Kona Cafe at the Poly gets my vote! My husband and I are planning to be there a week from Sunday to celebrate our 24th anniversary! We ate there last November with the kids and it was everyone's favorite. Of course, my kids are older, 16 and 18!

I was thinking about Kona Cafe but it seemed a little, I dunno, "open". Not that this will be a terribly romantic meal with a small child, though. The menu looked good and I've heard good things. I'll put it on the list of possibilities! So far, my other likely options seem to be Jiko, Le Cellier (although the new menu will be out in March and we will have to make an ADR next week), 'Ohana and California Grill. Not sure we like enough on the menu to include Artist Point (though we LOVE WL). Any thoughts to which would be best or other restaurant ideas? We aren't huge steak lovers and my wife is allergic to seafood so the menu has to be somewhat varied (i.e. steak houses and seafound places are pretty much out.)

DH and I just celebrated our 12th last month at Yatchsman. There were multiple tables with children there so you wouldn't be an exception.
We had a great meal and fantastic service.
It did take around to 90 minutes so you would know if your 4yr will be ok with that.
A lot of people on the DIS love Tutto Italia. We went and it was good but it felt too rushed for us.

My DH and I have had many anniversary dinners on property. I would recommend the following restaurents:
Yachtman Steakhouse (my DH favorite)
California Grill
Narcoossee's
Coral Reef
Ohana's
Happy Anniversary!

Just my opinion but are you putting to much thinking into this?
We all want those dinners to be so special that I often go overboard.

What I learned at WDW is this: Go with your gut, choose a menu you like, don't worry about reviews and go. Haven't been disappointed yet with this plan of attack.

A word of caution of reviews...
All restaurants at WDW get good and bad ones. If you are around the boards long enough you see it come full circle.
So what I do is go with a menu I like, the foods I like and reserve that meal.
Take the reviews (even mine here I am about to give you on Ohana) with a grain of salt.

Now my take of Ohana. Love the food, It is unique and fun, very good too. Especially since I have learned to warn the server that I like my beef rare. Haven't had an issue of dried over done meat since. LOL
The atmosphere can be fun or loud, just depends on the night. If you get a seat by the window during Wishes...nothing is better.
Service can be EXTREMELY slow the later into the evening it gets, so we prepare for this now.
And that dessert, the bread pudding, nothing I mean NOTHING on WDW property is so good!!! And I hate bread pudding!! :lmao:

So go where you really want, it will be special. Don't worry of others experiences, enjoy your family time and some good food!!!

When you have a 50/50 review on a restuarant - I think it's all about the menu. We read the menus then decide.

Personnally we've had a wonderful experience at Ohanas. I don't think you would be disappointed.

We have celebrated our anniversary several times at Jikos (before and with our son) and found it to be perfect. And a good reason to spend the evening at the resort. There is so much to at the resort - animals, cocktails, etc.

On our anniversary last year, we had the best time after Jikos watching our DS4 play at the park there.

Make your memories! You'll love any restuarant you pick for your special day.

Congratulations.

For a romantic meal, I would go to Citricos. I know you'll have a small child with you, but the staff there are absolutely fantastic and will make the meal a special experience for you, even with a child in tow.

I have 2 reviews in my dining reports if you want to know more - links in my signature.

Citrico's would be nice..
Don't believe I'd go to 'Ohana for a special Anniversary dinner----

We just ate at Citricos and it was phenomenal. Excellent ambiance, service and meal. Ohana was good but not as romantic feeling.

we celebrated our tenth at the world last year too. our special anny dinner, with then 4 and 2 yr olds was at 1900 park fair! lol but i did surprise him with a custom anniversary cake. there are baby sitting services available down there, that tend to charge what i think is an arm and a leg, i think 14-15 bucks an hr. so that could always be an option. i've never used them, they are all registered but still im leary.

there is also a few kids clubs at some of the resorts. i know wilderness lodge and the poly offer them. kids must be 4 yrs old. but not sure if you need to be staying at said resort.
