Anna & Elsa Question

KellyK75 said she added Elsa and Anna to her MDE wish list. Are there FP+ options for characters? The way I read it, wish list was just a reminder for you to do that event during your park visit at a particular time/day.
Correct?

Correct. :thumbsup2

How come Anna and Elsa haven't been showing up in the character list on MDE for Epcot? I have checked the last couple of days and during different times of the day but they don't show up.

MDE isn't a terribly good source of character M&Gs. Rest assured they are meeting.

Anna and Elsa (and Belle) are inexplicably listed in the "Entertainment" section of Epcot in MDE instead of in the "Characters" section.

At least they have been every time I've looked.

In spite of Disney cutting other characters, they won't cut this one. The problem is that it takes up some of the Norway Pavilion shopping area and, from my understanding, it doesn't technically belong to Disney (the countries own those areas--I may be a little off). However, Norway doesn't get much foot traffic, so it's kind of a double edged sword for them.

While they probably more belong at MK with the other princesses--and I agree Town Square Theater makes perfect sense--they could also oust the Wreck-it Ralph duo at DHS. Just my thought.

It is a rope drop experience, but it works like Rapunzel's did until she got displaced by Merida (and how Merida's works right now). One person can get in line and wait for the whole group. We saw lots of changing places and taking the kids off for a ride or breakfast. DH and I entered through the IG and had to walk all the way around through FW and we got there about 9:15 AM. Each group takes about 80 people and we barely made it. It was worth it--they were both very charming, talking about chocolate.

going this morning - wish us luck!

DH will be heading straight there while DD and I will ride a couple of rides then we'll switch out. I'll try to take notes on how fast the time slots close and report back.

Eagerly awaiting your update! That is my plan (not DH's plan) for when we get there in Feb. He says he doesn't want to go on rides with DD without us but I explained to him that the CM's encourage one member of the party to stay and the rest of leave due to lack of space so that might have convinced them. Good luck!

Yes, this was just your reminder of what you want to do in the parks. Elsa and Anna weren't on the list of the characters you could meet with FP+. I mentioned it was on my Wish List because people were asking if Elsa and Anna were still going to be doing m&g's, and I figured since they let me put it on my wish list that they would still be doing them. :)

Has any more information been released about Anna and elsa staying for meet n greets? We r traveling to disney in June and am hoping they will still be there. Thanks for any info anyone has!

Nothing released, but no one expects them to go away anytime soon.

I was just at Epcot on Friday and heard several families waiting to meet Elsa in the Norway pavilion say they had been waiting FOUR HOURS!!! They said the line began at 9:00. The moms and dads would take turns holding their family's place in line so the other could go off and enjoy the rest of the park. I am glad I do not have kids because they would be disappointed. DH and I would not be willing to wait that long to see any character, even our favorites. Also, another poster on another thread said her family waited two hours on a different day.

. I am hoping for some pixie dust when we go. I don't know if we can wait two or more hours to meet anna and elsa. My daughter LOVES them but that seems like such a long and boring wait.

I heard it is now a rope drop attraction, but they don't even come out till 11:00! I love my son...and he LOVES Elsa...but I do not want to wait that long!!

Crazy though it may seem, heading there at 9 a.m. to meet them at 11 will provide the shortest wait you'll have all day. Moreover, at that time of day, you have the benefit of some shade, which is not the case as the day wears on. They do let you have one person stand in line while others go do other stuff, for whatever that's worth.

The weird thing is Epcot was not crowded at all on Friday. I would hate to see how long the wait time would have been if it had been busy! Good luck to you and your family! :wizard:

Disney could easily alleviate some of the wait here by starting at 9 instead of 11. By starting at 11 they already have a 2 hour backlog of people.
Why aren't they starting at 9 to then allow guests to enjoy a full day in the parks?
My daughters are desperate for this m&g but there is no way I'll wait over 60 mins. The price it's costing for our holiday would make that a hugely expensive experience.

Counting down to 14th May!
