While I honestly don't follow Ann Coulter, I wonder how much of her comments are being taken out of context.
Personally, I'm tired of the victims families of 9-11 insisting that the US government....i.e., you and I - somehow compensating them for something that terrorists did.
If the women wrote a book and want to sell it - oky doky...and as usual that liberal media is sure to use it to their advantag like they always do - so I agree with Ann on that point. But come on - how is she wrong about people who are milking a system. I'm very sorry that your husband, son, daughter, etc. died. Very sorry. But the US government didn't do it. So stop demanding compensation from the US government....which is a position that Ann does take.
I agree, I had a good friend die in a car accident on 9/11 (unrelated to terrorism as well as hundreds more that day I'm sure). Is his death any less traumatic to his wife and kids? No, these women are set for life, monetarily, because the Govt. decided that the lives of those lost to terrorism are somehow more important then those who die in other ways. Did these people not have life insurance? Not have 401K's, pensions etc. I feel horrible for ALL (not just in the WTC, Pentagon, Pennsylvania) the people that died that day, I just don't understand what made their lives more valuable?
