Lately I've been curious about something I saw at Epcot years ago, though I've never been able to find anything on the internet regarding it.

Years ago, possibly during the millennium celebration (not sure), I remember being at Epcot and coming across a small building that contained a few exhibits including a red (?), Chinese-style dragon. There was a cast member there, and she showed me a control panel which you could use to move the dragon and make it perform a few different actions. My mom (who was with me at the time) is pretty sure that she remembers it too, though for all I know it may just be some sort of elaborate dream that I came up with several years ago.

Does anyone else remember this, or am I just making it up? :confused3

I don't remember a dragon at EPCOT but years ago at AK there was a animatronic dinosaur over in Dinoland that walked around independent from the cast member. Can't remember the name they gave the dinosuar but it was cool to watch. Don't know why they stopped it though.

The building between Canada and the UK was called Millennium Village at that time. It housed exhibits from several countries. Could it have been in there?

You are talking about Lucky the Dinosaur.

I have read reports that Lucky had maintenance issues and it was hard to keep him working.

That's what I was thinking, but there wasn't a Chinese area in there, nor can I find any pictures of the dragon. You'd think that someone would have taken a picture of it if it was in there.

I didn't remember there being a China section in there but it was all I could think of. If I remember correctly, the countries represented were all new to World Showcase (Brazil, Scotland, etc.).

Sorry I can't help with the dragon. I've been going to WDW for 42 years and I have never seen it. Are you sure it was at WDW?
