Animator's Palate Show

We have read conflicting reports on which night AP does 'the show'.
Is it the first night you dine there or the second? (on the Magic Eastern).

There are 3 nights where you have the regular "restaurant" menu on the 7 night cruise. That is the night of the Animator's show...so if you are on a rotation like LAPLAPLon the Eastern...you won't get the Animator's show until the second time through because the first time you hit it is Formal Night and they are not having the restaurant's regular menu.

They do the show the first time you dine there during your rotation.

What I'd like to know is, is it the same show every cruise? We were on the 2/1 Wonder and rebooked for the 2/5/05 Magic. Will we see the same show?

Animator's Palate is built the same on both ships, but I guess it can look pretty different from wherever you're sitting in the restaurant...I do believe, however, you are mistaken on when the show runs on the Magic. It is related to the menu served that night in the restaurant...can someone else confirm so I don't feel I'm misleading anyone--and correct me if I'm wrong?

We were on the Eastern Magic on 1-24 with LAPLAPL, and the show was the second night of the cruise.

So they ran the Animator's show on formal night? That sure does conflict to everything I've been reading! Thanks for the recent information!

I thought that the show was the first night you were in AP, no matter what the menu? We had LAPLAPL on the Magic, and it was the first night (Superbowl Sunday) only, so we skipped some of the Superbowl to see it. *grin* It definitely ran then. The second time through in our rotation, we didnt' go, as we were at Palo's, so I don't know (but don't think) that it ran that night?

Formal night on the Western itinerary was Monday night, and that I thought was regular menu, not a 'special' menu...? (aren't they ALL special tho?) Oh my, too confusing...

After re-reading my post, I realize it could be confusing. The Animators Palate show was on the second night of the cruise, which is the first night in AP.

I hope that is clear as mud to everyone now!

We just returned from the 2/7/04 Eastern and we had LAP rotation. We were in Animator's Palate our 2nd night which is also formal night, and the show ran on formal night. Last year, we had the same rotation and the show did not run until the 2nd time we went through. We were also on the 1/31/04 Western and were in Animator's Palate for formal night and the show ran that night as well...

We were also on the 2/7 Magic, but late seating LAP rotation. Animator's show was the same night as formal night, Sunday.

Hi Annie, glad to see you back, are you rested and relaxed or need a vacation from all that vacationing? We were wondering on the Cruise Meet if you all rebooked and when. We rebooked for 2/12/05, but are hoping to move it to summer 2005 out here!
