Hi all,

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the Value studios and the Standard studios? I've tried searching but cannot seem to get any information.

As ever thanks in advance for your help.

:hippie:

Standard studios are the same as savanna view studios but without the savanna and are available in both Jambo and Kidani. Value studios are significantly smaller than standards and are only located at Jambo house. The good thing is that quite a few of the values are savanna view, but you can NOT request that view.

thanks for responding - very useful.

Chalee94 - when i click on your link i get sent to Google!

just saying that if the DIS search function is down, you can still find a lot using a google search like "site:disboards.com AKV standard value" which will bring up a lot of DIS threads for more details.

it's also fine to ask, naturally.

Shortly after DVC opened at Jambo, I did "the grand tour" of standard view, value, and savannah view studios, spending a couple nights in each to figure the difference for myself. Maybe because I was solo, the value studios didn't "feel" significantly smaller to me. Every time I've gone back since then, I've always reserved a value studio. Although the view's usually been the same as standard view (almost always pool view), it's well worth the savings in points. Remember, it may be because I'm solo there that the smaller room size doesn't bother me.

I just want to add a couple of things to Diane's great summary. The size difference is in the length of the room and depth of the balcony. You lose about 3 feet in length and it's taken from the living/sleeping area. Because of this, there isn't room for the handy storage bench.

We(my daughter and I) stayed in a value studio over the summer and now IM SOLD on AKV!! We had a perfect view of the savanna.. But my husband was across the hall with my boys and they faced the parking lot... The rooms were small especially with the bed pulled out. but for the difference in points, I feel they were SO worth it.

Thanks for all of the info!

I have a question about the beds situation in a 2br lock off. There ar 6 of us....3 adults and 3 children. Obviously a lo isn't ideal for us, but or the difference in points, we will make it ok!

So, what size beds and where are they located in the lock off ?

Thanks!

There's a king in the Master bedroom and in the studio section there's a queen bed. There are 2 pull outs. In the living room there's a queen pull out and in the studio there a double sized pull out.

If you go with standard lock off, there is also a single size chair pull out in the living room. The values do not have that, there is no room.

So, there's a sleeper in each room of the lo? Thanks so much for all of your help!!!
