animal kingdom lodge??

i was wondering when they built the animal kingdom lodge why didn't they build a monorial going to animal kingdom?

Financially, it really wouldn't make sense. The cost of building such a small system would be more than half the cost of building the entire Animal Kingdom theme park. Besides, the ridership doesn't have the demand to warrant a high capacity vehicle.
