I know it's unfair to compare a deluxe vs a moderate. But my girlfriend and I need some input from the veterans!

We already have a "halloween" trip book @ CSR from oct27 to nov3.

The discounts were recently posted and we can upgrade our resort to Animal Kingdom Lodge for only an additional $400! Would it be worth it or not? Need some insight from everyone, it would be most appreciated :)

We loved CSR, the transportation times and dropoff points were great. Food and decor were great as well for the price, could not complain about our trip there last year. Was very peaceful, amenities were close by (we stayed in cabanas 9b) and we had a good overall stay there. Highly recommended.

As far as AKL goes...well, it looks AMAZING. 400 extra is really not much too fuss about for us, and the only downside we can see is that AKL will have maybe 5-10min extra wait times for buses over the latter.

What say you Disney'ers? :grouphug:

I would call, now. AKL is amazing!

We've never stayed at CSR, but we love AKL. We found the buses to be fine, sometimes even better than from other resorts we've stayed at. Worth is subjective as it's different for everyone, but for us, the extra $400 would definitely be worth it.

I think AKL is a bit too far from everything so if that's important to you, I would go with CSR.

I think it's great to try somewhere new and with AKL you do get a balcony which is a nice perk.

Having stayed at CSR and enjoying it very much I really don't care for the Pepper Market Restaurant. I think the lack of a sit down QS place there will keep me away for several trips.

Keeping this in mind and the fact to upgrade to AKL is only $400 for the both of you (not each), yes I would do it. It will give you a chance to experience something new!

Have a great time!

If you have the $$ AKL is as advertised. I love CS but the upgrades both in amenities and animals is pretty great.

We've stayed in both and liked each resort for different reasons. I would say that if you plan to spend any time at the resort and it's only $400 more for the two of you, go with AKL. The extra amenities are definitely worth it. BUT if you don't plan to spend any time at the resort, I honestly would not spend the extra to upgrade...JMHO. Both are great resorts so good luck deciding.

Stayed at both. Would definitely choose AKL just for the simple fact that there is no other Disney resort like it. Spending the extra minutes on the buses it worth it, trust me.

Wow, all the responses! Ty! :)

We will be taking breaks at the resort mid-day here and there as my girlfriend will have to spend an hour on the laptop for work here and there. I usually grab a drink or two and put my legs up.

I've been told by Disney they increase the bus frequency in the mornings to ensure each resort gets a fair start to the day, but am hearing mixed messages.

At CSR, the distance from the attractions was considerate, but the buses seemed to flow through that resort like water, loved it. If there was one thing I could give CSR a thumbs up on, it would be the transportation and the availability of it. It's not so much the length of the bus ride that bothers us, it's the amount of time waiting for one to show up, lol.

Two of our favorite resorts!! I will agree transportation at CSR does seem to flow well and resort is in a great location. But I give the edge to AKL. Especially if you are planning on spend time at the resort. The atmosphere is so serene and calming. If your gf is working you have the ability to get a drink at the pool bar as well as Victoria springs in the lobby! Can't wait only 264 days until we check in!
