Quick question...

Does anyone know if AKL rooms, (particularly Savanna view), have small kitchens? Reason why I ask is because we've discussed the idea of cooking meals in our room; as opposed to spending money on dinner every night. Just trying to save a little money. ;)

Only if you book a 1 bdrm or up DVC villa. Regular rooms just have a fridge and coffee maker.

DVC studios (equivalent to a regular room) will have microwave, small fridge, kitchen sink and plates, silverware. There are some studios at Jambo but most are at Kidani.

It depends what you mean by cooking. If you mean proper cooking a full meal from scratch you will need at least a 1 bedroom to get a kitchen. If you mean breakfast cereals, snacks, drink and maybe some microwave meals a studio would probably do.

Yeah we were able to get two bedrooms with the Savanna view; does that mean each room has a kitchen?

There will be one good size kitchen with all the major appliances (stove, oven, full size fridge, micro) in the main living area. Depending on whether it's a two bedroom lock off or dedicated two bedroom the second bedroom may have a small kitchen area with small fridge, sink and micro.

OP, because the wording of your reply was a little vague, I just want to clarify. When you say you were able to get 2 bedrooms, do you mean that you reserved a 2 bedroom DVC villa at Kidani, or do you mean that you reserved 2 rooms at AKL? There is a world of difference between these 2.

Yeah- I was confused too. If you have two connecting regular rooms-then you do not have a kitchen.

My apologies.

But from what I understand I think we'll be staying in the 2 bedroom DVC villa at Kidani. I had to confirm it with my mother.

Sorry for the confusion everyone.
