Animal Kingdom Lodge Question

As AKL is a 'closed in' Resort, where exactly can you walk outside? Is it just the pool area? Is there a playground? Just trying to get an idea of what is 'outside' apart from the animal area if we fancy a stroll.

I haven't been there but I know that there's a playground by the pool. You can go out onto Arusha Rock and stroll around in that area. It looks like quite a hike around that huge pool alone!LOL
