Animal Kingdom Lodge available on points?

Didn't see it on the DVC points calculator, husband has expressed interest in staying there (which for him to put forth an opinion on where we stay must really mean something since he normally says whereever I pick is fine with him). Also this wouldn't be for this year (staying at BW-home resort) but for maybe next year.

I have point charts for AKL in my Member Guidebook, so it must be okay to use points there. It is not the best use of points though (but I have, and will stay there...it is a great resort!).
If you give the dates, I will look up the points for you.

We used points to stay there for 1 night last February. It was a lot of points for one night, but well worth it, IMO!

Well what happened was I was watching the Behind WDW on the travel channel the other night and they showed a quick shot of the AKL and my husband was all indignant and said what hotel is that! (and I know I've told him about it before but I'm sure he wasn't paying attention). So I told him and he said he'd like to try out a stay there. I'd like to check it out to.

We are spending a stupid amount of pounts for a Thur thru Sun stay in October. We got a concierge room. It was like 220 points for those three nights.

Well...being that it would be only myself, husband and baby (by next year he wouldn't even be 2) we'd only need a standard room (but I'd like it to be a savannah view).

HeatherPage, there are few different views/accomadations available. These are the most common, but if you need deluxe or concierge just let me know.

Water or Pool View:
Sun-Thurs: 27
Fri-Sat: 49

Savannah View:
Sun-Thurs: 29
Fri-Sat: 52

*Just one problem* I just saw that you said NEXT year. These are 2002 pts, as I do not have the 2003 pts. Sorry
