This is our itinerary if someone can help us out!
We are going during EMH so park will open at 8am
Truthfully, we have an 815 seating at Spirit of Aloha the night before so not sure we will make it for Rope Drop. But if we do:

8am-Oasis Exhibits
Discovery Island
sign up for wilderness explorers
tough to be a bug (no fp)
Africa
Safari (fp for 920-1020 hoping to get there right for 920)
Tusker house (ADR 1040)
Pangani Trail
Festival of Lion Kin (fp 1230 or 1250 prob will catch later one)
Train to Rafikki
Asia
Kali River Rapids (fp 220-320- hoping to get there by 245)
Maharajah Jungle Trek -quickly
Dinoland- Rides hopefully from 345-445??) 7 year old will want to go on Primeval whirl (long line), tricera top spin, maybe time for nemo??
Discovery Island
Island Trails
Shops
Leave for 555pm ADR Boma at AKL.

Think we can swing it??

Or
Sleep in and get to park by 845ish
Skip Tough to be a bug
maharajah jungle Trek
Nemo
Island Trails
Shops

That will give us more time to relax and not rush
Two days later we were going to sleep in and not go to Epcot until 1130ish
maybe we can go to AK from 9-11 and then take bus to BC and walk over to Epcot by noon?

I'd hate to rush AK!!
Thanks for the advice

Is there anyway you can switch it to a non-EMH day? Your day will go much more smoothly if you do.

I think your long itinerary is going to be a little exhausting -- especially on a hot day. Maybe do Dinoland during EMH since It's Tough to Be a Bug has a larger capacity and generally shorter wait times than Primeval Whirl. Then during the rest of the day, you can do your fastpasses and see the animals in between.

Personally I think that is an aggressive schedule for a place where the charm is just taking time wandering around and taking in the sites. I usually spend more time than planned at the animal trails and the Rafiki petting zoo.

It is a good plan though (how you logically go clockwise around the park) .. but if yo uare going to get there for EMH, I would say do something other than Tough to be a bug .. do a ride (or rides). Agree with PP .. do Dinoland during EMH.

Do you really have your heart set on Rafiki's planet watch? It's a pretty long trip to pet some goats.

Primeval whirl in morning isn't a bad idea.
Maybe get dinoland out of the way.
We don't care about nemo show or even tough to be a bug that much. I like to spend a lot of time watching the gorillas and we end up taking a lot of time at rafikis especially if there is an animal being worked on.
Think we should go back for the two hours later on in the week?

We only enjoy it if there is an animal being worked on. I think it's really interesting to watch. One year we only spend a little bit over there because yes, it's boring but another year there was an animal that got a straw stuck in his esophagus (so sad) and we spent over half hour listening and watching the surgery.

Maybe a castmember will be able to tell us if there's some action going on before we board the train.

can't switch. I already have the ADR's and FP's all planned out.
In that case, I would definitely get there for rope drop to take advantage of those first couple of hours with relatively light crowds. The rest of the day will be significantly more crowded than a non-emh day.

They only do them very early in the morning.
