i have to disagree with the podcast team's answer on the email show.

From my experience, Animal Kingdom is great for grandparents.

First off, AK is the most beautifully landscaped of the disney parks. It's absolutely gorgeous!

And there are 3 wonderful shows that everyone can enjoy, including grandparents:
1. Festival of the Lion King
2. Finding Nemo, the Musical
3. Flights of Wonder - not as big as the first two, but still very interesting and enjoyable

In addition to the landscaping and the shows, there are the walk through animal areas that grandparents can do (i could watch those tigers in the Maharajah Jungle Trek all day).

Bugs Life is also doable, although i had my mom lean forward so that she wouldn't be hit by the 'sting'. She enjoyed bugs life - the story, the tree, the waiting area. She thought it was all fun.
And she totally adored the 3 shows listed above. And the landscaping.

And there's also fun to watch street entertainment (like the acrobats in africa).

Actually, i think Animal Kingdom is one of the nicer parks for grandparents.

:thumbsup2 I agree. My DM always enjoys our days there. There is SO much to do without being spun around, dropped down a mountain, and other things that cause Disney to issue warnings. My DM even likes the safari ride, although she asks "why is it so rough" each time.:)

Those acrobats were great. Unfortunately they don't appear at AK anymore. Their last show was in late August or early September. :guilty: Too bad.

oh that is too bad..
i hate it when they take away the street entertainment..:sad2:

they've added someone since i was last there...
DD came home with a video clip from her trip in september of some guy who's in the character area, who sings a song that he makes up for the person watching....

it was really cute...
