Is it normal for AK to close at 7? I just got an updated hours email from touring plans that AK will close at 7pm during my stay (May 30-Jun 5th). That seems early? Will there still be any night time entertainment at the park?

They’ve been extending hours about 3 weeks ahead of time, usually on Fridays (for example, last Friday they extended the hours for April 3-9)

It’s common for AK to close earlier than other parks. Currently it’s also Opening earlier.

I’m not aware of any nighttime entertainment at AK. Rivers of light was cancelled permanently. Is there other nighttime entertainment you’re thinking of?

Thanks. I thought rivers of light was still on. How does this work if I try to make dinner reservations? I was hoping to get reservations at Yak and Yeti for dinner. If they wait to extend hours is there a way to get quickly updated of that? Maybe I should use one of those reservation systems? Thanks!

Also be aware that some of the trails and the safari tend to close earlier than the park does. I'm not sure if they extend those if they extend the park hours.
