I agree with everyone... Flametree and Boma are both great... just depends whether you want to do a CS or TS. Never tried Jiko but we will get there one day
We enjoyed the Tusker House lunch buffet . . . lots of choices and a very relaxing meal. And, receiving the voucher for preferred seating to "Finding Nemo the Musical" was a real plus (you get this if you eat between 1:00 and 2:00, I think) . . . so nice not to have to wait in that long line.
We REALLY enjoyed Yak & Yeti. The ribs were delicious (and a HUGE portion - plenty for 2 people) and the steak & shrimp were excellent!!! We watched the afternoon parade from our table upstairs and lots of characters waved at us. We were pleasantly surprised. They don't take DDE though.
For counter service, it is Flame Tree Barbecue. For table service, Yak & Yeti; we tried Yak & Yeti in September and it was the second best meal of our trip. It has now become a must do for every trip.
Flame Tree is one of my ultimate CS locations! You get a LOT of food for the cost. DH and I could split meals there...and DH eats a lot
Mmm...my mouth is watering for some of that BBQ chicken! I love sitting at the tables behind and down the path (near the water). Great views of EE, the lake, and the fish/turtles!
We will schedule the Tusker House Character Breakfast first thing in the a.m.
We were there this past Sept and it was fabulous. Tons of food choices, healthy and non-healthy . Excellent coffee and juice. Mickey, Goofy, Donald and Daisy in safari gear..a great way to fill you up and get you going for the day...We will spend the day in the park...when we get hungry again (late afternoon) we will hit Flame Tree BBQ. This is definately one of our favorite CS places in the World. Nothing like the BBQ ribs or sandwich and a cold Safari Amber.
Tusker House has my absolute favorite breakfast!!!! Amazing food and its really neat to see the characters all dressed up in their safari clothing. I also agree with the other posters that said Flame Tree......really amazing food!!!
