This totally depends on which ride you want to do the most. We like both Everest and Safari, with proper planning you can get in 3+ rides on each. The animals are unpredictable, more likely to be active in the morning, but no guarantee.
Our plan last trip in April was to go straight to EE at rope drop, ride a bunch of times with no wait, then hustle to Safari. Typically we had FP+ for Safari ~10am, ~Dino/Kali 11am, ~Everest 12pm. We typically don't see Lion King or Nemo.
One day we rode EE 5 times in 45 minutes at rope drop. By the time we got to Safari, line was 30 minutes standby, so we used 10am FP. On different day, rode EE three times, rode Safari standby because we got there earlier, walked the gorilla trail in Africa, then rode Safari again with FP at end of window. After using our 11am and 12pm FPs, we got a 4th FP at kiosk for Safari (with return time around 2-3pm), and took a break for lunch. After lunch was It's Tough To Be A Bug/gorilla trail in Africa/tiger trail in Asia/Flights of Wonder bird show in some order. After using our mid/late afternoon Safari FP, we had option to get a 5th FP at kiosk, but called it a day because we had done so much.
