Animal Kingdom - Animals?

My sons absolute favorite animal is the Jaguar. Does anyone know if there is one at AK ? I was sort of doubting it since they are indigenous to South/Central America, and it seems AK is concentrating on Asia and Africa, but if anyone has seen or knows where I can find out, that would be great

I dont' think so either. I know there isn't one in the safari ride. There is a cheetah, but not a jaguar. As far as anywhere in the AK, I'm not positive, but I have never seen one.

I might be mistaken, but there might be one in the Pangini/Maharajah Jungle treks. I know there are tigers and other big cats, but I'm not sure about jaguars. I remember seeing a jag somewhere, but that might have been at a local zoo.

You can find out in guidebooks and when you're at AK, you can ask a CM. They'll definitely know.

Thanks all. We'll definitely check with a CM, since they are supposed to know all about the parks. It's hard to tell a jag from the other spotted cats sometimes, so even when I see them I have to really study the spots to know for sure what it is
Of course, by the time I go he may change again! We've been through cheetahs, eagles, cats, dogs, etc. I'm sure he'll find plenty there to enjoy .

Cheetahs and Lions on the Safari and the tigers on the Maharajah Jungle trek are wonderful! We were there last month and spent quite a long time watching and looking at them. Have fun!
