Animal Kingdom ain't so good.

Animal Kingdom is one of my favorites when the weather is cooler! I don't like roller coasters, but I love Dinosaur!, Bugs Life, Lion King and a couple of times on the Safari each time I go. I finally went on Kali RR (scared of the drop) and now that I know the drop isn't so bad, I love that too! I just love walking the trails, when the weather isn't miserably hot!! :goodvibes

We do like many of the attractions: The Safari, Everest, Bugs Life and the Lion King show. Unfortunately, that's about it for us. There's way too much walking for the few attractions that the park has to offer. There needs to be many, many more attractions. Not necessarily major attractions, small attractions would be fine, as long as there not as I said, the low budget variety of the County Fair. That place just doesn't belong and it's just low budget. Kali River is horrible to us. Everest is fun, but it's really a pretty slow roller coaster with the exception when it's going backwards in the dark. Dinosaur was fun the first time, but it got old quickly after that and for us it's only a place to kill time while we're waiting for our fast pass return for Everest. Also the walkways are extremely narrow and it's the hottest place on the face of the earth. We go in, do our 3, 4 or 5 things and leave. Less than a half day of attractions for a full day of walking.
I pretty much agree except that we do like the trails. However, people have their own tastes and I definitely think that AK is not for everyone. But what do I know, I still think that AK is a zoo. :rotfl: (In my case, a huge compliment.)

DAK is the most gorgeous park WDI has ever done stateside. Does it need a few more attractions? Yes. But at least it doesn't have the identity crisis of, say, Epcot and even worse: Hollywood Studios.

AK is only half a day park for us (or none at all some trips). There's just something abut it that I can't really get all excited about. I like the Festival of the Lion King, The Nemo show was boring to me, and if its just my fiance and I we won't ride Expedition Everest (he doesn't like it).

To each their own, count me as another AK lover. You simply can't do the park justice in a day, much less half a day. Even if all you do are the shows and rides you would run yourself ragged trying to get it all done in a day. I think to really appreciate AK you have to slow down and enjoy all the subtle theming and areas off the main paths as well as the shows and rides.

I must be weird, because AK is my 2nd most favorite park - after Epcot.

Everyone's mentioned the rides, which I love...especially Dinosaur and Expedition Everest.

I also enjoy the shows - FOTLK, the Flights of Wonder show, Finding Nemo - they're all very special.

We love to wander down those narrow paths and take in the details, the architecture, the greenery...I think the Imagineers did a fantastic job in getting each area of the AK just right.

Love the safari...also love just watching some of the other animals in the park... the tigers along the Trek...the monkeys that are way up high in the sky....the birds...

Love getting some BBQ at Flame Tree and sitting at a table just watching the people go by....

When the park closes at 5:00 pm, we then hop to another park, but we've managed to get a full day in at AK, and it's always special.

Exactly, you just need to embrace it.
