Animal Crossing Issues...

My concern is that another one of our animals is going to move, which means maybe a new house will pop up near one of those signs. I have to run around later and move any flowers that are near those signs, just in case.

busy busy busy

I was quite pleased as our new animal moved to the same spot the old miserable penguin was :rotfl:

I had already moved the flowers I planted around the penguins house as I didn't want her to have a nice looking place :lmao: Everyone else has flowers down one/both side of their house, mainly so I don't trample them :thumbsup2

I haven't played all week as I've been so busy each night. Tonight/tomorrow I'll play Monday (still have all that Festivale fun to look forward to) through Friday and catch up again. I may even get ahead on Sunday - proving DH will let me :rotfl: It's a full time job keeping the place looking nice and all the animals happy :laundy:

DW dug holes all round the house of an animal she didn't like, and was distraught the next day when she turned on the Wii and said animal was out and about in the town :rotfl2:

There's no good way to block an animal (short of hacking your Wii and putting rocks around them), but you could plant a minefield of pitfall seeds outside their front door. There is also some satisfaction to be gained by burying a pitfall seed in front of them and then pushing them into it. Really gets them mad.

Here's a project you could try. When they are out, dig holes all around them so they are trapped. Then on the other side of one hole, dig two lines of holes to create a "hallway" leading away. Down the middle of the hallway bury pitfall seeds, one after the other. Then fill the hole that leads into the hallway so they can escape into your traps. Be sure to stay behind them so the only way they can go is into the next pitfall.

If I try this I will have to see if I can videotape. it.

That sounds brilliant :rotfl2:

May let DW try if she can get me away from the telly-hogging ps3 :)

Ian, you are a mean mean man!!! All this cruelty to helpless animal neighbors.:lmao:

I do that with a couple of my animals too. I did complain at city hall about one animal and she seemed a lot nicer after that.

Complaining is just there so you can reset the catchphrase or the design they are wearing in case there is a problem with what another player has given them.

I heard of someone once who had a visitor sneak into their Able's and put in a bunch of "topless" shirt patterns. They didn't realize until their animals starting wearing them and looking like "girls gone wild".

:lmao: Friga lives with us too, 'brrrrr' :lmao:
As far as penguins go I don't mind Roald, he reminds me of Ralph Wiggum :)

We have Roald. He seems to be okay. Was a little sick last week but other than that not to cranky.

My favorite neighbor is Fang!:goodvibes

That's it Ian, I'm notifying PETA...

This may have already been asked. I haven't quite got through all of the posts. Myself, dd6 and dd4 have all just paid off our $368000 bell mortgages. I read somewhere online that the next expansion comes at $598000 bells. But when we go to pay it off, it doesn't give us the option too. Is there somewhere else we should be paying it?

Did you visit Nook first? You can't have access to the next mortgage payment "service" until you visit him and he gives you the spiel. Then, you have to visit him one last time before it's all complete. Once complete, you get a flag on your house.

Hope that helps.

Yep, we've done all that. They were all paid off mid way through the week and and we have been back to Nooks many times. The expansion is done - was done the next morning as usual and the flag is there. When we go to the bank it gives us the option to deposit, withdraw and end. If we go to the bank it the city it also gives us the option to reissue card. Thats it.

If you have a flag on your house (and a basement), it sounds like you have already paid off your house. Maybe you thought you were paying the 3??,000 mortgage and actually were paying the 598,000 mortgage.

We have a basement but it was definitely only 368000 bells. We had to help our dd's do it and did their's first before attempting mine. And then got through mine within 4 days (with a lot of help from dh)

You guys are playing the Australian version, so maybe it's slightly different. Quirky Alice could help best, since she's local for you and playing your version.

Alice - advice?????
