She's been in our town for 2 days now! Relentlessly crying, poor thing. And, of course, the town she wants to go home to is not somebody who I play AC with on a regular basis, but a friend of a friend who I played with just once!

I sent him a letter and asked him to leave his gate open, so hopefully we'll get her home soon. But, if he only plays AC occasionally...will she stay in our town indefinately?!?

Can you actually visit via wifi on a DS? When my daughter played AC on her DS you couldn't swap friend codes, you just had to be within a certain distance of someone else who was playing to interact with them - 60 feet or something like that. She played City Folk tho so it might be different.

I think you can. My DD has a friend who lives a few blocks away. They used to play their ACWW games together on their DSs via wi-fi when they were each at home. Of course, my DD lost her game so she hasn't played in quite some time.
