I finally got my silver fishing rod yesterday, after 7 long months of playing. I was so excited. Plus I caught an orchid mantis, which confuses me, because according to my Prima guide, they aren't available until August and I am current time.

According to the guide, the praying mantis and the orchid mantis aren't out in June, but it must be an error on their part. We've had the praying mantis since May and the orchid mantis has definitely been around in June.

There's a mommy and baby kitten that get separated in the game. Someone will find the baby crying for their mom. The kitten will say what town their mom is in (in this case, K-Town). The two sides have to meet up to get the family reunited.

Gate open. Joan trapped. Turnips selling for 95 bells. I will try to leave my gate open until about 8 eastern time, though I may wander away.

ETA - it's August in my game and the first night of fireworks. The Mayor is giving out fireworks in front of city hall.

I don't know if you're home now (I'm not), but my game is set for Sunday morning so "Old Joan" is selling turnips. It's basically "real time" so she'll only be around for another hour or two. But if you know someone where Nook is offering a high price for turnips - there's some good bells to be made! Feel free to visit my town, take any fruit (but not flowers). Take the self-guided house tours - it's a cute town to visit

You then have to ask your friends who has the mother, then you have to open your gate, and very slowly lead the kitten to the gate and bring her home. Her mother will meet you at the gate and thank you for returning her.

short notice, but if anyone has a decent price on turnips and is willing to let me go back-n-forth to sell a bunch, it would be appreciated.... bought for 95 last Sunday and the turnip recession has struck town (peaked at 78 first thing Monday and was downhill the rest of the way, just landed at 32 for the final today)
