Animal Crossing-City Folk

Mokey - I mailed you the bookcase. Please just keep it - I don't need it back! :)

Come to think of it, I should have made you come and pick it up in person just so you'd HAVE to come over and play. :rolleyes1 ;)

Keri

:lmao::lmao: Thanks so much for the bookcase! And you're right - you should have made me come get it. ;) I will say that the kiddos are grounded from video games for the next week so I might actually have an opportunity to play!

Now let's see... Who have I missed? Scotlass, I added you and Matt as friends, not sure if you got my info and added me or not. If not, let me know and I'll send ya another PM. I know there have been some new people who have joined, and if you'd like to swap info please send me a PM. And maybe (depending on how long this grounding lasts :rolleyes1 ) I'll get a chance to see y'all online soon!

Oh, has anyone caught one of those Raja butterflies?

Seanci/Tink...I was telling some of my friends about the trick you play in your town (hiding each other) and one of them (cough*Susan*cough) got me with it tonight when I left to finish some cleaning. Not only did she hide me behind a house, but her
daughter came up with the brilliant idea of digging holes around me so I couldn't get out. :furious::rotfl2:

:thumbsup2
:rotfl2:

Nice! I'll have to do that to my mom or sister the next time we play. :D

Don't know if any of you knew this, but with the Special items from Nintendo, you can order them from your cataloge. My mom checked to see if she could order the Nintendo DSi bench when that came out and you could. Same with the bus (it's 3040 bells). :D

The Raja Brook butterfly is in my town right now. They seem to be everywhere.....but my time is set to July.

I won't be on much for a week or so (here or the game) since I have company coming into town tomorrow. Ihave lots to do around here still but I will check for open gates once later tonight to see if anyone can beat my 153 turnip price but if not, I am going to sell at my Nook's because I may not be able to get back on again until next Saturday.:sad2::sad1::scared:

Oh....and I did figure out the kicking dirt trick to get out of my jam but it took me a couple minutes....:confused3:rotfl2:

That dang company, messing with your ACCF! :rotfl: I haven't done the turnip thing before... when do you buy them? I can't wait until June and July role around, there seem to be so many more bugs and way cooler fish then in May! I'm still waiting on my town's new addition...

Does anyone have good turnip prices today? At this point anything over 150 would be fabulous. I have 500,000 bells invested and I'm getting worried! Pretty please!???

Does anyone who has played Animal Crossing: Wild World (for DS) know if you get the neighbors pictures in Animal Crossing: CF?

If that made ANY sense. :P

Not me! Mine have tanked. Well, 70s. I'm going to TRY to remember to do what I did last time so I don't stress out about the silly turnips: every time I quit, note the date and time. The next time I play, whatever day and time it really is, I'll use the Wii system menu to set the date and time to be one minute *AFTER* I last played. (Do NOT set it to a time you've already played!) It look a few days last time, but I was able to hold onto my turnips and get a good price for them (so never had to confess to my DD how much I'd spent because none of her town's bells got wasted). Took a few days for me to get back to real time, but it was worth it! Now, if I can just REMEMBER this when I'm playing....

Anyone have the Lefty Lucky Cat? Or the totem pole that you can only get at Redd's? :sad1: We're still waiting for those.

I'm holding off my DD11's desire to tidy up our town, so we're still a "catalog town" with stuff all over the ground for people to pick up and put back so it's in their catalog. However, my friend roster is full! :headache: Why is that such a small limit?? I've written to the people I haven't played with in a while, now that I've already de-friended anyone I never played with, to see who is still playing.

Not sure if I'll get on again tonight , my girls have friends over and have monopolized the Wii for a 4-person Mario Kart. I've been hearing lots of shrieks and shouting, so I know it's worth it. Really. I'll be fine without Animal Crossing the rest of the night. ;)

No pictures and I haven't noticed any better prices from your "friends" at the Flea Market either like in WW. I'm not sure what the benefits are from being nice to your neighbors in CF. Another difference I noticed today, you can't sell your fossils at the flea market. I made big bucks off that in WW.

BTW - I'm posting right now live from Animal Kingdom Villas in the amazing 3-bedroom! The bathroom is as big as the bedroom, with a flat screen TV in front of the jacuzzi tub. We're in the Jambo house, the part with the original resort rather than the new strictly DVC Kidani Village.

Susan, I will check today and see if I have the cat or totem pole.
I admit I never bother with turnips. I don't get it. Maybe I am missing something. :confused3 Seems like a lot to mess with when I can sell fruit so easily for 500 bells each.
I too wish the friend roster would hold more people. I have had to delete many, but some were my kids friends that didn't play much.

Ahhhhhhhhh I am jealous!! ;) Enjoy yourself. Sounds wonderful!!

Ack - I'm a Bad Mother - someone had the pink zap helmet, which Lizzy just saw in one of our Animal Crossing photos - but she doesn't have it! I knew she had the suit and thought she had the helmet - but no.

Could I pick up someone's pink zap helmet in the near future so I can order one for her??

Sheepishly,
Susan

I haven't done the turnip thing before... when do you buy them?

Joan wanders around your town 6am to noon every Sunday. She may have one red turnip seed: if you plant that Sunday and water it every day, you can sell it to Nook on Saturday for a 15,000 bell profit! :thumbsup2

White turnips you buy from her for varying prices (same price each Sunday, whatever it is that day) and try to sell for more than you paid. If you buy LOTS of them (I buy in batches of 100) for under 100 bells per bunch of 10, then sell them later in the week for 200-600 per bunch of 10, that's a nice profit. It's risky -- they don't call it the "stalk market" for nothing -- but can be a good investment. Invest 400,000 bells, earn a million later? Wheeee! :cool1:

And then you can pass to me too pick up....I would love it too !!

I have it in my catalog I'll order 2 for you both :)

Awesome! :cool1:

"Vibla" / Scotlass has a Newsprint Helmet to give you; I got it in Japan on Boys' Day. She said she'll grab my daughter's pink zap helmet and pass it along, since my friend list is full and I'm still trying to figure out who I can de-friend safely. Is that plan OK with you?

That's fine with me I'll drop off 2 pink zap helmets :thumbsup2
